The brass beads are then secured to the hook shank using heavy-duty, stainless steel pins and Kevlar thread. Since we use solid brass beads instead of painted lead, our jig heads will never chip…ever. This results in a much more durable looking jig head that will outlast painted lead-head jigs every time. MICRO & MACRO HACKLE JIGS Our Micro & Macro hackle jigs are tied using beautiful hackle feathers that are palmered onto Mustad Ultrapoint 2x hooks. The finest hackle feathers are then selected and palmered onto the hook shank creating a very enticing yet subtle offering. Once in the water, the palmered feathers come to life giving the jig a full look that is different from anything else out there. These jigs are perfect for low, clear water conditions where a small presentation is the key for getting steelhead to take your offering. Salmon Marabou Jigs Our salmon marabou jigs are quite possibly the strongest jigs you'll ever use. Extensively field tested for years in the tributaries of the legendary Tillamook Bay, these jigs have proven themselves against the largest King salmon. We take a minimum of four large marabou feathers and palmer them one at a time onto a stout 3/0 or 5/0 Owner Saltwater, needle-point jig hook. A touch of matching Krystal Flash is added for a finishing touch. These baseball size jigs are made specifically for King salmon but can also be used for large steelhead, Coho and Chum salmon too.
