introduction _ Now in its eighth year, the Art Auction continues to go from strength to strength in what is an increasingly competitive timetable of fundraising auctions across the capital. We are extremely grateful to Daniel Ford International for their continued commitment in supporting the auction again this year. Apart from the obvious benefit the proceeds make to the students’ final year exhibition and publication, the event provides a brilliant opportunity to experience the unique interactive drama of the art auction at close quarters. As in previous years this auction would not be possible without the generosity of the artists who have kindly donated a work, and the expertise of Adrian Biddell from Sotheby’s who is once again donating his time and expertise for little more than a bottle of fine wine. In addition our thanks also must go to Alistair Milne, the director of PICTURE for generously framing a number of the works. It is the PG students from MA Fine Art, MA Photography and MA Art and Science who I congratulate in advance of the silent auction – speculating optimistically that their works will succeed in raising even more funds than their predecessors did last year. Finally it is you, the bold decisive collector, whether experienced or a newcomer who we are relying on to raise your hand or make your silent bid on the night.

The ruler pulls surplus biro ink down the paper, creating a visual record of the dragged movement of the ruler. Small stock photographic images of employees’ heads have then been secured into the surface with document repair tape. Westwood is currently the Frank Martin Fellow at Central Saint Martins.
