Scandinavia and The Baltic States Scandinavia Spectacular Scandinavia abounds with ice-blue fjords, majestic mountains, thunderous waterfalls and green pine forests, while rich historic sites reveal an intriguing Viking heritage. Scandinavian scenery is among the purest and most visually stunning in the world and our enjoyment of it comes from virtually every angle; we take a gentle fjord cruise through the Geiranger fjord, take a “troll car” up the Briksdalsbreen glacier and enjoy an unforgettable ride on the Flåm railway. In the cities we explore historic sites such as Amalienborg Palace in Copenhagen, home to Princess Mary and in Stockholm we’ll see the stunning gold chamber, location for the annual Nobel Prize ceremony.

Berlin and The Baltic States The fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 has transformed Berlin into an exciting metropolis. You’ll visit the new Reichstag and the Brandenburg Gate, and drive ‘Unter den Linden’. Poland’s capital Warsaw is where you’ll tour Wilanow Palace, known as Poland’s Versailles. You’ll enjoy a piano concert of Chopin music followed by dinner in one of Warsaw’s traditional restaurants. The Baltic States of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia regained their independence from Russia in 1991 and are the latest “must-see” destinations. We’ll take you to their capitals - discover the baroque architecture of Vilnius, visit the historic centre of Riga, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and wander the cobblestone streets of the walled city of Tallinn.
