New Caledonia & Au TUESDAY–WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 1–2 Depart the U.S.A./Cross the International Date Line THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 3 Nouméa, New Caledonia Arrive in Nouméa, the capital of New Caledonia, a French territory known as the Grand Terre located in the southwestern Pacific. Transfer to Le Meridien Hotel — the only deluxe resort in Nouméa — and savor its unique blend of French sophistication and Pacific-island ambience. Located on a beachfront overlooking scenic Anse Vata cove, the resort is only a short distance from the city center. FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 4 Nouméa (Embark) Enjoy a relaxing morning at the resort, or explore this island city on your own.
