CADET TEAM TRIALS: 16 or 17 years of age (born in 1999 or 2000); 15 year olds (born in 2001) may compete with written parental consent. Please be aware that in order to be eligible (to qualify) to compete in the Cadet Team Trials, you must compete in the current Canadian Championships and you must: 1 – Place top 3 as a CADET at the current Canadian Championships; OR AGE GROUPS & WEIGHT CATEGORIES

2 – Place top 5 as a 1st year JUVENILE at the current Canadian Championships. If you are a 1st year Juvenile that is directly eliminated (i.e. second loss of the tournament) by a 2nd year Juvenile that places in the top 5, your coach must submit a written petition to the Domestic Development Manager or other designated Wrestling Canada Lutte staff to be permitted to compete in the Trials. MEN’S FREESTYLE & GRECO-ROMAN: 39 - 42, 46, 50, 54, 58, 63, 69, 76, 85, 100 kg WOMEN: 36 - 38, 40, 43, 46, 49, 52, 56, 60, 65, 70 kg All athlete, coach, support staff & officials registrations and payments must be made through the online Registration Portal. The Registration Portal link will be available at the beginning of February.

REGISTRATION

The registration deadline is March 18th, 2016 at 11:59 pm ET. Late registrations will be accepted until March 25th, 2016 at 11:59 pm ET, but will be subject to a late fee as outlined in the “Entry Fees” section below. No registrations will be accepted after March 25th, 2016 at 11:59 pm ET. This applies to all athletes, coaches and support staff. All athletes, coaches and support staff must be registered members in good standing with their Provincial Wrestling Association as well as Wrestling Canada Lutte. Please check with your Provincial Wrestling Association to determine if they have any additional registration requirements. Officials must be registered members in good standing with the Canadian Association of Wrestling Officials (CAWO) and their Provincial Wrestling Officials Association (if applicable). § §

COACHES §

All coaches must register using the Wrestling Canada Lutte online registration process and submit all required information and documents (must include your NCCP certification number). The Registration Portal link will be available at the beginning of February. Coaches must be fully CERTIFIED in NCCP Competition-Introduction to be eligible to coach in the corner during the event AND have successfully completed their “Make Ethical Decisions - Competition Introduction” online evaluation. For all Coaching requirements please refer to the following document: http://wrestling.ca/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Coaching_Certification_Requirements.pdf NCCP coaching certification registration forms, submitted by Coach Developers, and PTSOs, will be accepted NO LATER than the registration deadline for the Canadian Championships in any given year, for the purposes of checking and approving coaching certification for coaching eligibility at such Canadian Championships.

Payment of entry fees will be done through the WCL online Registration Portal, which will be available at the beginning of February. ENTRY FEES

$70.00 - Men’s and Women’s Freestyle $45.00 - Men’s and Women’s Greco-Roman $35.00 - Cadet Team Trials (Women, Men’s Freestyle & Men’s Greco-Roman) *Please note that the fee is charged for EACH Team Trials entered - Men that enter Freestyle and Greco-Roman will be charged $70.





There will be an additional transaction fee for the online registration process. *** An additional $50 fee (National Program fee) will be added to EACH athlete’s registration at the Canadian Championships. This fee will be used exclusively to offset the cost of National Team programming for that specific age group (i.e. money collected from Cadet Canadian Championships registration will offset the cost of Cadet National Team programming). Athletes wrestling more than one style (Men’s / Women’s Freestyle AND Greco) will only be required to pay the fee once per Canadian Championships. ENTRY FEES

All entries received after March 18th, 2016 will be subject to a $25 late fee per event entered. No registrations will be accepted after March 25th, 2016 at 11:59 pm ET. SCRATCHES § All scratches before March 18th, 2016 (11:59 pm ET) will be fully refundable. § All scratches after March 18th, 2016 (11:59 pm ET) & prior to March 25th, 2016 (11:59 pm ET) will be 75% refundable. § All scratches after March 25th, 2016 (11:59 pm ET) are NON-REFUNDABLE. Please check with your PTSO to determine if any additional fees apply. §

Wrestling Canada Lutte 2015-2016 rules will apply with a modified double elimination bracket system. Competitors must be members in good standing with their PTSO and Wrestling Canada Lutte. Men’s and Women’s Greco-Roman competition is open to all competitors. Men’s and Women’s Freestyle competition is closed and only Canadian citizens and those individuals with Permanent Resident status may compete. Legal proof of age and citizenship must be provided at the time of registration. Permanent Residents are INELIGIBLE to wrestle in the Cadet Team Trials. You must be a full Canadian Citizen as of the final entry deadline for the event.
