ANNOUNCEMENTS We welcome Mary Lou Cox as our guest today for our PW Celebrating the Gifts of Women Sunday. Mary Lou received one of the last Bachelors of Christian Education degrees from PSCE (1968) and worked briefly as a Christian Educator, before marrying Bill, whom she met while he was in seminary. They lived in Cincinnati, Providence Forge, VA, Cincinnati, and Monterey, as he served churches and she served their family of two sons and two daughters. Mary Lou became a ruling elder at Circleville, WV, in about 2000, where she alternated preaching with Bill while they served three churches and a chapel each Sunday. Mary Lou was a commissioner from Shenandoah Presbytery to the 118th General Assembly in 2008, served as Moderator of Shenandoah Presbytery in 2010, and has served on various presbytery committees, most recently the Moffett Grant Fund Committee, which she chairs. Together with Pam Snyder she co-chaired the 2004 Synod PW Gathering at Massanetta Springs. Mary Lou served as Vice-Moderator of Shenandoah PW for four years and as Moderator for two years, as well as in various other PW roles over the years. Currently, she is Secretary of the Beulah PW in Mill Gap, VA. Bill and Mary Lou Cox serve three tiny congregations in Pocahontas County, WV, each week, where he preaches and she leads worship. They love working as a team among these dear folks.

The sign-up sheet for Lay Readers & Ushers for March has been placed on the back table. Many spots need filling. Thanks so much for your help.

We will be celebrating the Sacrament of Holy Communion next Sunday, March 9th.

The next Church Night covered dish supper will be on Wednesday, March 5th, at 6:00 p.m. As this is Ash Wednesday, a worship service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. Please bring a food item to share with all. Beverages and table service will be provided. The Christian Education/Worship Committee will be hosts for the evening. Many thanks to all those who donated items for the "Thank You Soldier" project. We received a call from Kevin Goodrow (Lois Sensabaugh's grandson) from Kuwait this week, saying that he received all eight boxes and thanking everyone for the goodies. He's sharing with the other guys there, and he said they're having the best time going through the boxes - just like kids on Christmas morning! He wants everyone to know how much they all appreciate these gifts from "home".
