The main directions from Bergamo train station to selected B&B and accommodations agreed for the lecturers and accommodation sponsorships. Please identify the one relevant for you. Also consider that before taking any bus you must buy a bus ticket (1 euro). You can do it at the newspaper on the left just before the station exit. The school does take place at the University of Bergamo, Via dei Caniana, 2). The University is not too far from the Station (15 minutes walking). From the Station turn left and just go straight on until you see University’s building in front of you. If you want to take a bus, walk out the train Station and walk straight ahead 300 meters (on the left sidewalk), until you arrive to a big crossroad. Cross the road in front of you and look for the n. 5 bus stop (direction Lallio), which you should find 20 meters on your left. Take the bus and ask the driver to let you at the University (after 5 bus stops).

HOW TO REACH MY ACCOMMODATION? - How to reach L’Angolo del Poeta B&B (via Borgo Palazzo, 39) Mr. Paolo Prestini, +39 348/8038813 From the Railway Station: Walk out the train station straight ahead, crossing the square, you find after roughly 40 meters the 8, 7 and 5 Bus stops on the right: you must take the bus that leaves the station on its back. Go in and ask for Piazza Sant’Anna-Sant’Anna square. Via Borgo Palazzo is the one that crosses the square. From/to the University (via dei Caniana, 2): Bus n. 5 from Piazza Sant’Anna. (10 minutes by bus).

- How to reach Le Rondini B&B (via Finazzi, 18 tel. +39 035 255812): From the Railway Station: Walk out the train station, cross the street and look for the bus 5 stop. The bus stops on the right: you must take the bus that leaves the station on its back. The bus will go past the university in Via dei Caniana and actually stop in front of the main building. You must leave the bus two stops after the university and walk onto a narrow street (this is Via Finazzi) until you find on the left the B&B . From/to the University: Bus number 5 (two bus stops) or 10 minutes walking. From the University go to via Moroni and then turn right (the second street on your right).

- How to reach La Castellana B&B: Appartamento Suite (via Tasso, 42) Appartamento Teatro (via Tasso, 42) Appartamento Mignon (via Tasso, 42) (Mrs. Irene Cantoni: tel. +39 338 5044488) From the Railway Station: If you are coming with bus no.1 from the Orio Al Serio Airport, leave the bus at the Porta Nuova bus stop. Via Tasso is 5 minutes walking from there. You just have to walk along the steet you are arriving from (in the same direction the bus were going), then cross the street, and turn right at the first. Go straight ahead until you find the B&B. From the Rail Station it is roughly 15 minutes walking (straight ahead 400 meters, then turn right and walk 200 meters, you will find Via Tasso just in front of you. If you’re carrying a heavy luggage, take either Bus n. 2 (direction Cimitero) or n. 7 (direction Celadina), on the right in front of the Rail Station, and leave the bus at the second bus stop. From/to the University: Go to Porta Nuova (5 minutes walking) and then take bus n. 5 to the University

- How to reach La Castellana B&B Appartamento Stelvio (via Stelvio, 10) (Mrs. Irene Cantoni: tel. +39 338 5044488) From the Railway Station: At the rail station you can take: - the bus n. 2 (direction Cimitero); - the bus n. 7 (direction Celadina) - the bus n. 8 (direction Seriate). Tell the driver to let you down near Via Ponchielli. To reach via Ponchielli you should cross the street. Walking along via Ponchielli, via Stelvio is the first street on your left. From/to the University (via dei Caniana, 2): Bus n. 2 to Via San Bernardino and then 5 minutes by feet. Elsewhere, 10 minutes walking to Piazza Sant’Anna and then bus n. 5 (10 minutes by bus).

How to reach La Castellana B&B Appartamento Borgo (via Borgo Palazzo, 17)

Buses n. 8,7,5 (ask for Piazza Sant’Anna-Sant’Anna square). Then walk along Borgo Palazzo. From/to the University (via dei Caniana, 2): Bus n. 5 from Piazza Sant’Anna. (10 minutes by bus).

- How to reach Fuori le Mura B&B (via Carnovali, 71 tel. +39 035 233189 Cell. +39 338 3848911) From the Railway Station: From the Rail Station walk to Piazza Porta Nuova (straight on, 5 minutes). Take the bus n. 6 (A or B or C). Leave the bus at Carnovali street (Via Carnovali). From/to the University: The best way to get to the Spring School is by feet. Walk along Via Carnovali to Via S. Bernardino, then turn right, walk under the railway bridge and you find the University on your right side.

- How to reach Il Convitto (Pensionato “Caterina Cittadini”, via Rocca 10) (Suor Elena Linetti, tel. +39 035 243911) From the Railway Station: From the Rail Station or from Orio al Serio Airport take the bus n.1 to Città Alta. Leave the bus at the last bus stop in Colle Aperto. Looking on your left you should see a big stone door (pay attention not to go into the one nearer on your right side!). Pass through this door, through another one, then after 10 minutes walking just straight ahead, you will arrive to a little square called “Piazza Mercato delle Scarpe”. You can find “via Rocca” on your left side. You can anyway follow the turistic signpost for the Castle “Rocca”. From/to the University: Take the bus n.1. Get down in Porta Nuova and then take the bus n. 5 until the University. (Via dei Caniana).

- How to reach Ai Musei B&B (via San Tomaso, 57, tel. +39 035 224419) From the Railway Station: From the Rail Station take the bus n. 7 A (direction Ponteranica) or 7 B (direction Sorisole) and tell the driver to let you leave the bus at “Accademia Carrara Museum” (the 5th bus stop). Walk to the traffic light, then cross the street you are arriving from and you will find your B&B a few meters straight ahead. From/to the University: Take the bus n. 7 and get down in Porta Nuova. Then take the bus n. 5 until the University (Via dei Caniana).

- How to reach Carmen B&B (via Palma il Vecchio, 4 Tel. +39 035 255922 Cell. +39 335 6012367) From the Railway Station: From the Rail Station go to Porta Nuova (5 minutes walking, straight ahead leaving the railway train station on your back). Then cross twice: the street in front of you and then the street you were coming from. You should find here bus n. 5 stop (direction Lallio). From/to the University: 5 minutes walking along Palma il Vecchio Street (leaving the Palace called “Triangolo” on your left). Then turn right in via S. Bernardino. You will arrive at a big street. Cross the sreet and you will see University building on your right.

- How to reach Alla corte di Torretta B&B (via Torretta, 2 Tel. /fax 0039 333.5387093 - Cell. 0039 035.270005 e mail: [email protected] ) From the Railway Station: Walk out the train station straight ahead, crossing the square, you find after roughly 40 meters the 8, 7 and 5 Bus stops on the right: you must take the bus that leaves the station on its back. Go in and ask for Piazza Sant’Anna-Sant’Anna square. Look at the square and cross it walking on the left side of it. This should be Via Borgo Palazzo. You will find the B&B at the cross between Borgo Palazzo and a narrow street on the right (the second you’ll find walking) called Via Torretta. From/to the University (via dei Caniana, 2): Go back to Piazza Sant’Anna and take the bus n. 5 in the opposite direction. (Ask the driver: it’s just 10 minutes by bus).
