MARKET COMMENTARY Indian benchmark equity indices staged a blockbuster performance on the first day of the week by vehemently rallying close to two percentage points in the session and re-conquering their psychological levels. Sentiments got boosted after a weaker-than-expected US jobs report on Friday left some economists anticipating only one interest rate hike from the Federal Reserve this year. Besides, rise in oil prices and appreciation in the Indian rupee against dollar too supported the markets sentiment. Some support also came with a recent string of positive corporate results that raised tentative hopes about an improving domestic economy. For today’s trade Nifty likely to trade in the range between 7885 – 7915 in the upper side and 7845 – 7815 in the lower side.

 Global Stocks Fluctuate Amid Mixed Economic Data; Crude Retreats:Global stocks fluctuated as investors assessed a mixed batch of economic data, with European shares rallying after a German factory orders report and industrial metals dragged lower by weak Chinese trade figures.  European Stock Gains Defy China Data That Hurt Metals; Oil Rises: European stocks rallied from a one-month low, shaking off a drag from Chinese trade data that pushed Shanghai shares lower along with industrial metals. Oil rallied above $45 a barrel, buoyed by Canadian wildfires that are curbing production.  China Reserves, Exports Show Stabilization as Growth Slows: - China reported a modest stabilization in exports this weekend as the value of the currency decreased, as well as the first back-toback gain in foreign reserves in almost two years, suggesting the economy is steadying amid slowing growth.  Yen tumbles on intervention warning, higher risk appetite: - The yen hit a roughly two-week low against the dollar on Monday after Japan's finance minister said Tokyo was ready to intervene in the currency market if needed, with stronger risk sentiment also easing demand for traditional safe havens such as the Japanese currency.  Gold down almost 1% as investors reassess U.S. jobs report: - Gold futures fell sharply in European trade on Monday, as investors viewed Friday’s U.S. jobs data as less disappointing than first thought. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. economy added 160,000 jobs last month, the smallest increase since September and well below the 202,000 jobs forecast by economists.
