AD

Active Directory – registry for users with name and phone number.

Active

Status acquired by the user with one successful authentication.

Activation

Registration of the app to our systems.

OTP

Unique One Time Password that the application generates.

APP-ID

Unique ID for the app.

Unblock

Process for unblocking the PIN.

Unblock code

Unique code for unblocking the PIN.

Buypass Code app

The name of the app.

Blocked

Status of the PIN when it has been entered incorrectly three times.

Inactive

When an administrator has put a user in an inactive state.

Reactivation

Reactivation when the app is not associated to a merchant.

Buypass Code application

2.1

Activation of EVRY Buypass Code app

Most handsets are supported by the Buypass Code application, such as iPhone, Windows Phone, Symbian and Android. We also support handsets with built-in java support. This gives us a wide variety of support on both new and old handsets. 1. 2. 3. 4.

The user sends an SMS with the code word ID EVRY to 1960. The user receives an SMS with a link to the marketplace for the correct phone. The user downloads Buypass Code App to the phone. The user clicks the icon for the Buypass Code App on the phones desktop. Activation starts.

The telephone number registered has to be the same as in the company`s Active Directory on that specific user. Usually this is Microsoft`s Active Directory service. 5. The user receives an SMS with the activation code that will be used to verify the identity of the user in possession of the phone. On the iPhone, the user will get an SMS with a link. On Windows Phone, the user will get an SMS with a code that must be entered in the app. On other phones, the activation will be automatic. Such phones are Android and Symbian. Generating OTP

After the user has activated Buypass Code on the phone, the application is ready to be used. When you open your app, you are ready to generate OTP as shown below:

1. Input your PIN-code (four digits) and press OK.

The view can change based on which phone is used.

OTP (six digits) is displayed. Together with assigned username and OTP, the user will gain access.

OTP duration

This shows the time period in which to use the OTP. The duration is 120 seconds. If the timer has elapsed before you use the code, you will have to generate a new one.

2.2.2

Retrieving a new OTP You can retrieve a new OTP by using the following ”back” button.

Toolbar for PIN-functions

By pressing the icon «gears» (on Symbian and Windows Phone it`s a menu, not an icon) you will get three options. Change PIN, unblock and forgot PIN.

Change PIN

Changing PIN can be done without further procedures in the menu.

  

Input current PIN. Input new PIN (four digits). Confirm new PIN (four digits).

2.3.2

Unblock PIN

This function shows the PIN status. If it`s not blocked, information about customer support is shown.

Reactivation: If the PIN is blocked without the user having ever authenticated, the application has to be reactivated. The app is not associated to any merchant. The user reinstalls the app and activates as normal. The user can then set a new PIN.

Unblock: The other case is when the PIN is blocked and the user previously has authenticated. This calls for an unblock-code from the merchant. The user then has to call customer support for this code.

2.3.3

Forgot PIN

If you have forgotten your pin, you can create a new based on the instructions as shown below:

Change of phone

If you change your phone, you will have to install the app from the marketplace again. The PIN previously set will then apply.

2.5

Change of phone number

No change in the application. Only change has to be done in the company`s active directory.

2.6

Change of SIM

No changes to the app as long as the same phone and phone number apply.

2.7

Updates

If there are great changes to the app, there may be a need for reactivation.
