3’s My Gallery allows you to store and share your pictures and videos clips instantly

> Set up videomail: enter 123 and press . At Call press . Scroll to Video call and press . Follow the voice prompts to record your video greeting. The caller will see your video greeting when you can’t answer a video call.

> To select video camera, select Options (left ‘soft key’) and then select Video mode

To set up your 3mail you need to have set up a voicemail PIN first.

To collect emails from other accounts you need to set up your POP3 email account.

> Press Scroll to

> Scroll to Enter username and press for the text prompt. Key in your preferred username (eg johnsmith), scroll down to Done and press . Then press . > If this name has already been taken you will be asked to choose again. Once your username has been accepted your email address will be displayed (eg [email protected]).

> Press and select . Scroll to and press . Scroll to and press . Scroll to Settings and press . Scroll to Manage other mail and press . At Add new account and press . > Scroll to Name this account, click or the text prompt and enter a name for the account. Then do the same in turn for POP3 server address, POP3 Username, and POP3 user password and select Done and press .

Setting up your profile

You can check these details with your email/internet service provider.

> Messag. > 3Mail > Options > E-mail settings > Mailbox settings

You’re now ready to collect emails from another email account.

> Scroll to User name and key in your mobile number starting with 447xxxxxxxx but without plus (+). Scroll down to Password and key in the 4-digit PIN you selected for voicemail. Scroll down to My e-mail address and key in your email address (eg [email protected]). Press Done.

Transferring files between your mobile and PC

Transferring files between your mobile and PC

Install the software before you attach your phone to your PC. You’ll need: Windows 2000 Professional or XP Home or Professional; 250MB of hard disk space; a USB port and CD-ROM drive.

Connecting your mobile and PC

Synchronising Contacts and calendar

> At the Welcome to Get Connected wizard screen, click Next. Select the connection type between your mobile and PC (Bluetooth, Infrared or USB cable).

> Connect your mobile and PC using the USB cable

Installing Nokia PC Suite file transfer software > Close down any open applications on your PC and load the Nokia PC Suite CD that came with your mobile. The installation should begin automatically, otherwise select on your PC. Select Run and type D/E: Setup and click on . Follow the Wizard to install. Don’t connect your mobile and PC at this moment.

> Select Cable connection and click Next.

> Then drag and drop relevant picture, audio, video between your mobile and PC.

> Click on Synchronise at the bottom right corner of your PC. In the pop up menu, select Synchronise to synchronise contacts and calendar between your mobile and PC.

> Connect your mobile and PC using the USB cable and it will automatically install drivers to connect your mobile and PC. > Click Finish Select PC Application to synchronise > Select

Indicates that the mobile is connected to the PC. Right click on to select Synchronise.

> Select the PC application eg Microsoft Outlook to synchronise with your mobile. Click Next.

> Connect your mobile and PC using the USB cable

> Select which items you want to synchronise eg Calendar or Contact items. Then click Next and follow the Wizard to install.

Please note that transferring copyright-protected content, eg music and football videos, without the copyright owner’s consent is illegal and will breach the terms of your agreement with 3.

> Right click on Nokia PC Suite at the bottom right corner of your PC and then select File manager to synchronise contacts and calendar between your mobile and PC.

> Synchronisation will automatically start

Click Nokia PC Suite to install the transfer software. 10

Getting the most from your battery > You can recharge your battery several hundred times before it will need replacing and you don’t need to fully discharge it before recharging. > Don’t expose the battery charger to direct sunlight or use in areas of high humidity such as a bathroom. Battery life will decrease if you expose it to temperatures below -10°C or above 45°C. > If you charge your battery regularly and you notice a decrease in talk time or an increase in charging time, then it’s probably time to buy a new battery.
