Spring Brochure

Welcome to our Spring brochure 2014 for adults and children’s short courses running during April and May. Our weekend classes for adults are designed as taster sessions for people who would like to try a new subject or develop a current skill, perhaps as a precursor to our term time courses.

For children in April, we are offering a five day Easter Break course in 2D & 3D Drawing and Painting, alongside Black and White Photography for new talents as well as students who have been with us in previous classes. We have also for the first time collaborated with the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland to jointly offer a Children’s course which will take place over the two venues during this week.

This programme includes a number of courses spanning fine art, printmaking, sculpture and digital based media.

Con Ed Courses 2014

The Spring period will also see the official opening of the new Reid Building on Renfrew Street at the heart of The Glasgow School of Art’s Garnethill campus. This new building will house the School of Design and as well as offering many public spaces such as a new shop, restaurant and galleries, it will give you the opportunity to view the Mackintosh Building from a new perspective. A number of our courses will take place in this new space, but if your course is in another building around campus you will still be able to visit and see the future of GSA. So whether you are a current or new student to Continuing Education, we hope you’ll find a course here that you would like to attend. We are happy to discuss your interests and questions if you would like help choosing a course, or would like further information on courses later in the year, please do not hesitate to contact us.
