About Avenue Building Company Avenue Building Company (ABC) was founded in 1997 with the single and overriding goal of becoming one of the foremost specialist healthcare construction companies in the UK. How we work

We design and plan Our team of architects, structural, mechanical and electrical engineers look at the feasibility of your project from a technical perspective. Using their expertise, key factors such as patient handling ergonomics, infection control and minimising patient and staff disruption are considered and designed into the overall plan. We can also advise on the types of fixtures and fittings you may need. As the planning phase develops, we may be able to offer options and alternatives by drawing on our expertise gained over many years. Through this approach we work with you to develop a viable project that can be constructed in a timely and cost effective way.

With an excellent supply chain of reliable companies, we are able to ensure that the quality of our finished projects is well above HTM¹ minimum requirements, and we manage the whole procurement process for you as well… which is one less thing for you to worry about. 1. We construct Working closely with you, we use state of the art construction techniques to put the plans into practise. Over the years, our workforce has become used to operating to tight-timelines and working within the constraints of the healthcare environment. Naturally, there will be challenges along the way and we bring our specialist healthcare expertise to the fore when resolving any issues. Many of our projects, especially in the diagnostics field, require the installation of extremely heavy equipment such as MRI and CT scanners and we are experienced at managing the placement of such sensitive and valuable equipment. We communicate We believe that good communication is vital. Central to the success of our construction projects is the use of experienced project managers who are supported by our designers and engineers. Every one of our projects is assigned a dedicated project manager who gives the project the continuity it deserves, acting as the main point of contact throughout the duration of the programme. With years of experience working within the healthcare sector, all of our project managers understand working in busy hospitals and clinics, and recognise the pressures you may be under.

We commission and hand-over Our ‘turn-key’ projects are designed to ensure a seamless hand-over and that your new facility can be used with minimal disruption to yourselves. With our building warranty in place you can relax in the knowledge that you are in safe hands for the future. We are fully compliant All of our projects are fully compliant with CDM¹, HTM² and HBN³ guidelines and we have our own in house Health and Safety manager to ensure that our sites are fully compliant with current legislation. We have a philosophy of working safely, both for our workforce and those around us. We are proud to have an excellent Health and Safety record. In addition, we have our own waste management and recycling policies in place to ensure waste is handled correctly and that we adhere to all relevant guidelines related to construction industry environmental and sustainability policies. 1. We fit out Once the heavy construction phase is over, our project manager continues to oversee the fitting out and finishing of the project, as well as the installation of any specialist equipment such as operating tables or diagnostic equipment.
