Measurement/Control/ Automation System Overview KIGG’s professional Linux based Control System Architecture facilitates the creation of networks of wired or wireless sensors, controllers and display systems that can be easily configured to provide an extremely efficient and cost effective Monitoring and Control solutions. The systems offered by KIGG Ltd. have the capability of being accessed from a Smartphone or Tablet PC. This means that no matter where in the world you are you will be able to access data from your system or even make changes securely. It provides the ability to move from smallstand-alone touch screen modules, with built in network features, through to large scale, multiscreen Management Control Rooms, without the need to reconfigure the arrangement whenever changes are required.

This system is available either for customers to create their own solutions or our engineers can provide you with full project management facilities, helping you through various stages of development. Whatever your requirements, we can leave you with the skills required to fully manage, maintain and develop your own system.

The Control System Development Environment is very user friendly and requires no additional software components to create a solution. modules provide the Specific built-in functionality for many standard control strategies, whilst the Graphical User Interface creator is highly intuitive.

We can work with clients to produce MultiInput Multi-Output solutions with practical implementation guidance.

Long term trends and audit trails can be stored in an SQL database and graphical results can be displayed using the “drag and drop” built-in components.

Our modular approach to system design means we can optimise both cost and operational functionality at each level, so that the overall distributed system is designed to meet your technical requirements whilst ensuring system maintainability and extensibility. Whether it is in a highly sensitive environmental application or a heavy duty steel plant, we will have something to suit your needs.

The network features are mainly TCP/IP based and include industry standard MODBUS and a low cost USB solution. This approach to Monitoring and Control is therefore suitable for micro-projects or major control system installations

Measurement/Control/ Automation System Overview

KIGG Control is a system design and implementation consultancy that works with organisations and principal contactors who wish to implement a wide range of computerised measurement and control functions within organisations to improve quality and reduce operational cost, introduce new technologies and processes. KIGG offers some innovative cost effective solutions in the fields of asset and resource management. Enabling us to achieve clients focussed solutions in measure, control & automation systems Technology transfer/ Start-Up KIGG specialises in working to assist companies in developing their technology and enabling enterprises to create their own automations teams to build business opportunities. •

Our focus is on the use of open source platforms, as we believe that transparency at all levels is of utmost importance in developing both systems and relationships. The use of Linux operating system provides for a high quality base and all our systems come fully integrated. The physical system architecture is based on the well tried and tested Multi-layered arrangements found within most complex industrial and commercial SCADA type implementations. This approach does not require any specific hardware manufacturer, but we recommend certain types of equipment based on our expertise

Provide the expertise to support existing businesses and create startup companies • Provide feasibility studies for projects and start-ups We have ported the system onto a wide range of x86 boards and we have utilised both MODBUS (over TCP) and USB analogue and Digital I/O systems. This allows us to be able to address the most basic to the most complex problems in an efficient manner. Activities • • • • • • • • • •

Measurement/Control/ Smartphone & Tablet PC The KIGG Integrated process control environment has gone far beyond local access and offers the latest in complete remote “anytime anywhere” system management. Utilising the latest innovative Smartphone and Tablet PC devices, the system can be accessed by owners, management and key personnel whether at home, between meetings, or while on the golf course or travelling. This approach provides our clients with a system that is always accessible and with the ability to easily monitor, analyse and change parameters. The benefits in overall operations administration and control provide a managerial capability far beyond that currently available with, even with far more costly providers.

Our approach means that the conventional way of controlling a system is replaced with flexible, easy to use and convenient process, with ubiquitous and secured of access to both “real-time” and historical data analysis.

Features • Next generation control system • Simple to use • Ease of access • Secure connection • Multiple authorised users possible Version 2.1

The ability to have complete and cost effective functional control through a simple touch of the screen brings a unique flexibility to modern process control operations. The access portal can be made as simple or as complex as is required to control the system. Technical Specifications subject to change without prior notice

Measurement/Control/ Automation Control Room Our Open source software platform is a powerful control system development environment, with a graphical interface, that has been built to provide a modern approach to process control. This Multi Layered approach extends from being able to MultiScreen control rooms, through a chain of intermediate process stations, localised user terminals and down to the smallest wireless sensors and actuators. •

Number of screens can be user defined example 2, 3, 4, 8, 16, etc… this is based on Graphics & Process power of system

We can work with you to produce Multi Input Multi Output solutions with practical implementation strategies designed into the project from the outset. The platform is highly configurable; enabling you to design and build a system based real world needs. Example implementation includes a large scale steel mill down to the heating controls in a detached house. This not only shows the scale of possible projects, but also indicates that it can be implemented in a cost effective way across a spectrum of applications. It even has extensibility options to provide custom control functions if required.

Our modular approach to implementation means we can optimise both cost and functionality at each level, so that the overall distributed system is designed to meet your technical requirements whilst ensuring system maintainability, expandability

We can provide you with full back up facilities or leave you with the skills required to fully manage, maintain and develop your own system in a cost effective way.

Measurement/Control/ Automation Terminal The KIGG Touch Screen Control System provides the operator the ability to control and monitor processes from an easy-to-use touch screen. The system can be used as standalone independent system or integrated as part of a larger system, that consist of a control room with multi-screen with multiple operator stations and terminals. This enables KIGG to provide a complete integrated package based around an open source platform. Using a lynux operating System and Open source software KIGG is able to provide an extremely cost effective solution. Software is free and hardware is not limited.. Features: • Next generation control system • Exclusive modular programming architecture • Simple to use, easy to install • Stand-alone solution or part of a larger system • Industry-standard control over TCP (LAN, WLAN & Internet) • ultra-reliable 2-way wireless communications • Control and view anything anywhere • User Access permission control The hardware is based on the small form factor PCs with a selection of binary and analogue I/Os. For larger systems the Terminal can be used as an interface via TCP over Cable and WLAN. The user touchscreen interface allows the engineers to interact with local equipment quickly or access systems remotely across the internet. The system allows manual and automatic control, enabling the operator to develop, store and automatically execute defined processes enabling support for, maintenance and trouble shooting of process equipment. Everything that the operator needs to run a process or machine will be located on this terminal. Over sight and overriding controls can be carried out via a control room or operation station Version 2.1
