you, and you are willing to violate all your moral standards to survive. But have you ever stopped to think that maybe something BETTER could be in store for you? - Something definitely within your reach?

Our advice? Before getting onto that plane, please make sure you have planned everything carefully (career-wise, program-wise etc…) ahead of time. Please keep in mind that the right objectives for heading abroad include working to become the best in your field, and do your utmost to take advantage of the tools and opportunities that will come your way. You will also need to work a little bit before heading home after you complete your studies (highly recommended) – take this into account as you make plans during the first months after your arrival. Keep your eyes on succeeding and not on disappearing from the surface of the earth (after all, something or someone might catch up with you sooner than you think) - that is the way.

As we mentioned over and over during the past year, a single piece of information you stumble upon can mark the difference between you succeeding or failing in life. Information is vital. Let's talk fields of study this year! How much do you know about your field of study/neighboring fields? What are the job opportunities for someone with your profile? Have you ever wondered if a neighboring field of study would offer you better job opportunities? Would you like some advice? Would you like to hear from those who have gone before you and managed to be successful in their career? IF your answer is YES, you will love our upcoming newsletter series. 1.
Could you tell us a little bit about yourself?
A: My name is John Olusola Baiyeshea. By title, I am a pastor. By rank, I am a Senior Advocate of Nigeria. 2.
Q: What is your highest qualification?
A: I have three postgraduate qualifications, in the following order: Master of Law, Master of Philosophy of Law, and Master of Divinity in Theology. 3.
Q: How long have you been in this field? th
A: This is my 30 year. I was called to the Bar in July 1982. I graduated from the University in 1981. 4.
Q: What do you do?
A: I practice law generally: civil, criminal, commercial, litigation, land, labour, human rights issues, family law, etc, etc. 5.
Q: What link does your title as a pastor have with law?
A: Those are two separate vocations. Law is my profession; divinity is a calling. I have a calling as a pastor, and I had to properly train to be a pastor. God helps me to blend the two together. Religion has to do with what God teaches and also the civilized standard of human behaviour. Also in law, the rules and laws are in place to make people in the world live in an orderly manner - that we don’t live in a banana republic where everybody does what he likes. Then again, God sets standards from the word "Go." When the children of Israel were going through the exodus (when they left Egypt), God started prescribing the law to them. He knew that they would have to live under authority. He gave them the first commandments. Those are a set of rules and laws within the human society for people of God to obey God and live in an orderly and peaceful manner. And so, the law that we practice also took its root from God’s law and developed. When we talk of fundamental human rights (HR) principles, the Bible is replete with fundamental HR principles. A good example was when the Apostle Paul was facing trial and argued his case. He said, “Can a Roman citizen be condemned without being heard?” He was asking fundamental issues of law on fair hearing which we have developed in constitutions and all other documents. There is a way God helps me to blend both together and find help. Actually, the two are not mutually exclusive, they are mutually complementary. So for me, it is a good position and an advantage. I’ll share some literature with you to peruse so you can see how I have been able to blend both together. 6.
Q: Does it mean there has never been a conflict of interest?
A: I hardly have any conflict of interest. One basic area where you may think of conflict is divorce. And that is a family law matter. The organic law, that is, laws of the land, have made provisions for people who feel that marriage is no longer worthwhile. If they want to quit, they can quit. In the Matrimonial Causes Act, the provisions of the law recognise that marriage is very sacred and that makes the conditions very rigid. In fact, the law prescribes that you have to prove that the marriage has broken down irretrievably. It is a very tall order and many people are not able to prove that. As
