Company structure

TECNO is a company with 100% Italian-owned nominal capital, operating from its registered offices in Pero - Milan. Here it has its Technical and Commercial Offices and a Production Unit where cars, sliding and swing doors are built, in both normal and fire-proof versions, as well as all those components needing steel machining, such as cutting, folding and punching. Other components are produced in external workshops that have been carefully selected to ensure that they guarantee max reliability; also the control boards - designed by TECNO - are built by a firm specialising in this field and are equipped with complete pre-wiring including the shaft lines. Finally, the Escalators and Travelators, also developed by the TECNO Technical Office, are UNI EN 115 certified and produced in a specialised ISO certified production unit that's constantly monitored by TECNO Quality Service technicians. All products from TECNO (UNI EN ISO 9001: 2000 certified by the IMQ institute) bear the CE mark. TECNO's special structure is especially flexible and so easily "Marketing oriented", i.e. capable of providing the market with what it wants just in time and at the right price. Equally flexible is the Italian sales network, with a centralised office in Pero, the reference for all the Agents and Dealers throughout Italy,

guaranteeing total coverage of the market. The Technical Servicing structure is organised in the same way, i.e. the central unit in PeroMilan directly manages the after-sales service, servicing and local repairs, with dealer/technicians carrying out the work on behalf of TECNO, guaranteeing the same standards of service locally throughout Italy. TECNO's carefully selected Dealer/Technicians have acquired all the necessary tradition and technical culture and are all well-established businesses with at least 20 years effective, verified presence in the marketplace. The Tenders and Public Contracts Office is also located in Pero and from here coordinates all activities nationwide using the Technical and Commercial structures. Finally, the Exports Office in Pero manages and coordinates the exclusive Distributors and Dealers in the various countries, again guaranteeing comprehensive coverage. In fact, TECNO is present on the following markets: the Far East, the Middle East, the Mediterranean, Eastern Europe, the EEC, South America and Australia. To sum up the above, we can safely say that TECNO's corporate structure has all those gifts of DYNAMISM, PRODUCTIVITY, AGGRESSIVITY and QUALITY that have allowed it to gain some really spectacular successes in Italy and the rest of the world.

Managerial organisation

Our role is to work in perfect harmony with Engineering and Works Management: quickly identifying problems and finding immediate solutions ensure compliance with budgets and time schedules. The TECNO project manager activates the CCS - Coordination and Control System – for the various jobs in order to analyse each decision and to prevent any possible problems from arising while works are being carried out. Our team will be set up at the beginning of works on the basis of experience acquired in designing and installing complex plants like airports. An on-site operations manager will direct and

control the assembly teams and co-operate with other suppliers in accordance with defined schedules. This begins with a technical briefing during which information is exchanged in order to monitor every decision at the moment in which it is taken into consideration. This offers an immediate opportunity for brainstorming to solve problems at the instant they occur and for organising meetings with those involved in the specific sectors to discuss and define all the various details.

Quality control and control of procedures Financial Resources and Certification

Procedures are an integral part of TECNO's business and have been developed and implemented over the years. TECNO has documented all its procedures in a special inhouse manual that all operators are expected to stick to when carrying out their work. This involves the definition of work methods, control methods and responsibilities. It also means that each job is monitored at every stage with regular checks, at least once every month. UNI EN ISO 9001: 2000 certified, TECNO

guarantees product and service reliability with constant efforts in seeking new, safer technological solutions and better quality, drawing on the services of highly qualified component suppliers, where possible also certified. TECNO oversees the design of lifts followed by the appropriate controls, validation and installation and then provides the necessary after-sales services (i.e. servicing of lifts, upgrades and changes in the light of experience and use during the long life of the lifts).

When developing and managing its activities, TECNO almost always uses its own financial resources, re-investing a good part of its profits in the business, and only uses Banks for the typical support activities they offer. The Italian banks used by TECNO are: † † † † †

Service and Maintenance

TECNO's goal has always been, and always will be, "maximum customer satisfaction ", confirmed by its attainment of the UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 certification. The high standard of quality of our products, plus the efficiency of our technicians make the TECNO CUSTOMER SERVICE one of the most efficient customer services in the industry. TECNO PROGRAMMED SERVICING guarantees the perfect efficiency of all lifts in order to reach and maintain a high standard of safety and comfort. Moreover, our 24 hours-a-day service, operating 365 days-a-year, guarantees the customer full availability and assistance for anyone trapped inside a lift. TECNO SAFE is the new system that lets those trapped inside a lift telephone our service centre directly. Hidden inside the car pushbutton panel is a telephone dialer, activated by pressing one of the buttons. This is an effective system for all apartment blocks, houses and especially buildings which do not have a porter's office. Finally, the TECNO SUPERVISION SYSTEM is a remote control service that Tecno offers for

special situations, such as airports, hospitals and large office buildings, where there are many lifts, and the possibility of monitoring them at a distance in real time allows means one can intervene immediately. The monitoring system includes a control panel that immediately indicates the type of problem, thus further cutting intervention times, as the service team knows exactly where to look. Finally, in the most evolved configuration, the Tecno Supervision System even lets you monitor the traffic in the lifts, producing functioning schemes and other useful items to optimise lift management that, always from a distance, can be changed if necessary, proposing special functioning schemes. For instance, in an office block with a bank of quadruplex lifts, it can be arranged so that all lifts, on reaching the last floor, automatically return to the ground floor at the start of each shift, ready to take more people to their offices, while during normal hours the lifts can be programmed to wait at various floors throughout the building when not in use.
