Depending upon the level of security required various configurations of locking and sealing points can be selected:

The type of multipoint lock you choose will depend greatly upon it’s intended application. As the UK market has developed, Mila have developed locks to suit all common applications, including: Residential Doors: Multipoint locks for use on front or back doors. These multipoint locks feature various combinations of locking points, from basic 4 roller locks to enhanced security hook locks. French Door Master Leaf: Multipoint locks designed for use on the master leaf of a pair of french doors. These locks often feature the same locking point combinations as standard residential door locks but can have shootbolts added top and bottom - highly recommended when used on french doors. French Door Slave Leaf: Multipoint locks designed for use on the slave leaf of a pair of french doors. Slave locks are fitted behind a french door dummy mullion and have shootbolts fitted top and bottom. Fitting a slave lock provides enhanced security when compared to finger bolts and maintains the symmetry of the door as two sets of handles are fitted. Stable Door: Stable doors are become increasingly popular as an alternative to traditional residential doors - particularly as a rear or kitchen door. Stable door locking systems allow the top half of the door to be opened for ventilation or the whole door to open for access.

Latch: Reversible latch for right or left hand doors.

Deadbolt: Deadbolt protected by anti-saw pins.

Roller cam: Adjustable roller cams to ensure optimum weathersealing.

Mushroom cam: Anti-separation devices with adjustability for weathersealing.

Hook & pin: Strong combination of anti-separation hook bolts and anti-lift pins.

Hook: Strong anti-separation devices, lock in an upward direction and secure behind striker.

Pin: Anti-lift bolts protected by anti-saw pins.

Shootbolt Extension: Can be added top and bottom to specific door locks. Used to enhance the security of residential doors or for use on the master or slave leaf of a set of french doors.

Panic Door: Multipoint locks designed for use on Panic Doors. These multipoint locks are operated internally via panic bars or pads for safe, simple egress in case of emergency.

Identify the faceplate width, backset and PZ dimensions required: Faceplate width: The standard faceplate width for multipoint locks is 16mm, although some locks are available with a 24mm U-track faceplate. Please note: Mila are in the process of standardising our faceplate finish from yellow bi-chromate to silver. Please confirm the faceplate colour of your lock when placing your order. Backset: The backset dimension (A) is the distance from the gearbox faceplate to the centre of the square spindle hole. Backset dimensions will generally be either 35mm for PVCU doors or 45mm for composite or timber doors.

Pz: The Pz dimension (B) is the distance from the centre of the handle spindle hole to the centre of the cylinder. The most common Pz distance is 92mm although this can vary depending on lock manufacturer and lock function ie. twin spindle locks.

The AS 7922 multipoint lock is suitable for all applications. In it’s basic form it is a high security residential door lock. Through the use of a spilt spindle it will provide “rim latch” type operation. The addition of shootbolts top and bottom enables it to be used as the master door lock on a pair of french doors. Stable doors are becoming increasingly popular as a replacement for the traditional residential door - particularly as rear or kitchen doors. The M-Fear stable door locking system utilises strong, cast steel hooks for security combined with adjustable roller cams for weather sealing. The top half of the multipoint locking system is equipped with a cast steel hook, reversible latch, deadbolt and two roller cams. While the bottom half of the lock is equipped with cast steel hook, two roller cams and top shootbolt to secure into upper leaf.

To perfectly complement it’s smooth and secure operation Mila have developed a range of stylish furniture in a number of attractive finishes including Chrome and Gold (PVD).

The Genius multipoint lock features two strong pins for security and sealing, and a deadbolt protected with anti-saw pins.
