IMDG Code, column 15 in the Dangerous Goods List There is no requirement at this time to show the “IATA” ERG number on the Shippers Declaration for Dangerous Goods, but this may become mandatory in the near future.

Documenting your hazardous shipments correctly A “Recommended” Recommended form under the present IMDG regulations, but already a mandatory form in several countries and with a number of ocean carriers. Currently there is a debate in the IMO/UN to make this form mandatory for all Hazardous Materials shipments p via vessel. As well, several countries, including the USA, are considering to make this form, or a form very similar to this document mandatory, independent of whatever decision will come out of the UN.
