DOCUMENT 00 31 33 HOIST BEAM CERTIFICATION

PART 1 GENERAL 1.01

2016 SRWTP RWPS HOIST BEAM CAPACITY REPORT A.

This evaluation report, dated September 29, 2016, is included for the Bidders’ information. The evaluation was performed to estimate a safe working load capacity of the existing hoist beam. The Owner does not make any guarantees for the evaluation provided in the report.

B.

Contractor may use the existing hoist beam, measuring approximately 17’-10” from the concrete deck to the bottom of the beam, during construction. If the beam is damaged during construction, the Contractor shall be responsible for repair or replacement of the beam.

C.

Contractor shall not use the Owner’s existing hoist. If Contractor desires to use the existing hoist beam, Contractor shall provide a hoist for the removal of the leaf screen.

D.

The estimated weights of the proposed leaf screen sections are provided in Section 01 11 00. Owner and Engineer do not make any guarantees to the estimates provided. Contractor is to confirm weights of both the existing and proposed leaf screens prior to the removal of the existing leaf screen and installation of the proposed leaf screen.
