Division 11:Design Rules 1. All General Rules apply. 2. Advance entry is required for all Sections A-D, Classes 1-12. Please contact the Design/Entries Consultant for whichever class you wish to enter. 3. An exhibitor may enter as many classes as desired, but only one exhibit per class or subclass. A design must be the work of only one exhibitor and that exhibitor’s name must appear on the entry card and be prepared by the exhibitor.. 4. Plant material used in designs need not have been grown by the exhibitor. 5. Some plant material must be used in every exhibit. Plant material that has been treated to alter its exterior appearance may be used only in its dry state in a Standard Flower Show. See Chapter 7, p. 154, 11, D. 6. Religious symbols used in design must be displayed in a respectful manner and in accordance with the policies of local religious organizations. 7. American flag and other national flags must be displayed in a respectful manner. In order not to offendAmerican and other national flags may not be incorporated into any competitive designs. 8. Landscapes or scenes are not permitted in Design Division. 9. All living members of the Animal Kingdom are not permitted. 10. Plant material must be listed on a 3” x 5” white card provided byconsultant.. 11. Artificial flowers, foliage, fruits or vegetables are not permitted. 12. If designer is unable to fulfill assignment, it is the responsibility of the designer to provide a substitute and to notify the consultant.. 13. Division II: Design “Go For Baroque” Eligible for The Award of Design Excellence Rosette of gold ribbons All Sections and Classes are eligible for this Division Award, except Novice Classes 8 and 9 in Section C. One award may be offered and awarded to the highest scoring blue ribbon winning nexhibit scoring 95 or above in the entire Design division entered by a single exhibitor, provided all General and Design Award requirements are met. Winning exhibit must also have won a Section Top Exhibitor Award.

Class 1. “Danz” 4 entries

Most rooms throughout the house have bare bleached maple floors. Walls are white throughout. The kitchen and bar room have black and white checkered tile floors. a. Foyer: Sawhorse style table 72”Lx24”Wx36.5”H with clear glass top, legs in lime green and orange Lucite, against the wall with an unframed glass mirror hanging above. b. Dining Room: Semi-opaque free standing glass dining table Mike Zisser, Shelter Island 106”Lx63”Wx30”H with chrome legs and alternating lime green and orange molded Lucite chairs. c. Kitchen: Window area 63”Lx25.5”Wx59”H set above an orange composite stone countertop with white cabinetry, chrome hardware and black and white checkered tile floor. d. Bar Room: Bar with black granite counter top 40”Lx33”Wx36”H with a shiny white base, chrome sink and spigot, with matching solid black Lucite and polished chrome barstools and a black and white checkered tile floor. .

Class 2. “Simultaneous Contrasts-Sun and Moon” 4 Entries

a. Kitchen: Display on top left side of curved island 120”Lx21”Wx42”H orange composite stone counter with white cabinetry and chrome hardware, chrome and Lucite orange and lime green stools, with orange and yellow Lucite hanging light fixtures. b. Bar Room: Glass round table 30”Dx26”H , flanked by one white and two black swivel chairs set on black and white checkered tile floor. c. Living Room: Glass and chrome coffee table 54”Lx30”Wx16”H set in front of a large patterned orange and white couch. Room also features a lime green and cream striped chaise with bleached maple floors. d. Media Room: Bi-level, offset coffee table 47”Lx27.5”Wx14.5H in glass and brushed chrome. Room also features aqua green club chairs, orange leather hassocks, patterned sofa in tones of blue and green.

Room also features an orange and white large patterned couch, and a lime green and cream striped chaise. c.
