The information for this SPAAR DirectoryofAgriculturalResearch

Institutions in Africa was compiled from various sources. The objective of this directory is to provide those with an interest in African agricultural research institutions with an easily accessible source of information on national, regional and international agricultural research institutions in Africa. The directory is arranged on a sub-regional basis (Eastern, Southern, and Western and Central Africa), starting with international and regional institutions (with inter-governmental institutions marked by an asterisk) and followed by national institutions. The names of contacts in each institution are given along with a brief description of the institution's mandate. Alphabetical indexes of staff member and institution names are included for easy reference. Also included is a list of the names of SPAAR donor members. In view of frequent staff changes, SPAAR will be grateful for any corrections and/or additions to this directory to make it as complete and up-to-date as possible. An update form at the back of this directory is included for this purpose. The directory will be updated regularly with anticipated distribution at or before each Plenary Session.
