BERUFSAKADEMIE BADEN-WÜRTTEMBERG - UNIVERSITY OF COOPERATIVE EDUCATION Seit 1974 werden Abiturienten an der Berufsakademie Baden-Württemberg (BA) in dreijährigen dualen Studiengängen, in denen sich jeweils etwa zwölfwöchige Theoriephasen an der Staatlichen Studienakademie und Praxisphasen in einem Ausbildungsbetrieb abwechseln, zu wissenschafts- und praxisbezogenen DiplomBetriebswirten (BA), Diplom-Ingenieuren (BA), Diplom-Wirtschaftsinformatikern (BA) und Diplom- Sozialpädagogen (BA) ausgebildet. Mit dem Abschluß der ersten Stufe nach 2 Jahren verleiht das Land Baden-Württemberg die Bezeichnung Ingenieurassistent (BA), Wirtschaftsassistent (BA) oder Erzieher (BA). Der Diplomabschluß ist demjenigen an einer Fachhochschule des Landes Baden-Württemberg gleichwertig. Es besteht zusätzlich die Möglichkeit, einen englischen Abschluss als Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) zu erwerben. Besondere Vorzüge des Studiums an der Berufsakademie • Praxis- und Anwendungsorientierung der Ausbildung • Studium auf wissenschaftlichem Niveau. 1. International Business Administration [IBA] für Studierende aus klassischen Industriebetrieben oder aus Dienstleistungunternehmen (bilingual deutsch- und englischsprachig).

• Eine Kopie des Abiturzeugnisses (Allgemeine oder Fachgebundene Hochschulreife) mitsamt einer amtlichen Beglaubigung der Übereinstimmung mit dem Original liegt der Studienakademie vor. Die Fachhochschulreife genügt nicht. • Bei ausländischen Bewerbern mit ausländischer Hochschulzugangsberechtigung sind ausreichende Kenntnisse der deutschen Sprache nachzuweiden (bei Bewerbern aus Luxemburg und Österreich nicht erforderlich) • Ein Originalexemplar des Ausbildungsvertrags zwischen Studierendem und Ausbildungsbetrieb liegt vor. • Die Ausbildungseignung des Betriebs wurde vom Leiter der Studienrichtung festgestellt. • Der Studienplatz wurde dem vertragschließenden Ausbildungsbetrieb zugesagt und reserviert. • Die jährliche Verwaltungsgebühr in Höhe von gegenwärtig € 80 ist bezahlt.

Residence Permits and Visa Regulations SOCRATES-Students from EU-countries and visiting students who are citizens of the USA: Visiting students who are either EU-citizens or citizens of the USA can enter Germany with their passports and apply for their residence permit Aufenthaltsbewilligung at the foreign registration office of the City of Stuttgart Ausländerbehörde after arrival. DER STUDIENGANG / THE PROGRAMME INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION [IBA] Zielgruppe des Studiengangs Ausländische und deutsche Interessenten mit sehr guten Kenntnissen der englischen und der deutschen Sprache absolvieren dieses bilinguale Studium bei international tätigen Industrie- und Dienstleistungsunternehmen. Zielsetzung Ziel dieses bilingualen Studiengangs ist es, die für internationale Geschäftstätigkeit erforderliche fachliche, methodische, sprachliche, soziale und interkulturelle Kompetenz, sowie die wesentlichen dispositiven Fähigkeiten (Organisation, Planung, Kontrolle, Kommunikation) zu vermitteln. Den Absolventen sollen hierbei sowohl die deutsch- als auch die englischsprachigen Begriffe vertraut sein. Studieninhalte Alle Studierenden (sowohl aus Industrieals auch aus Dienstleistungsbetrieben) müssen grundsätzlich in den Theoriephasen gemeinsam ein klassisches betriebswirtschaftliches Veranstaltungs- und Prüfungsprogramm absolvieren. Dieses wird durch international sowie ggf. dienstleistungsspezifisch orientierte Zusatzveranstaltungen ergänzt. Während der Praxisphasen (ca. 50 % der Studienzeit) werden die Schwerpunkte "International", "Industrie" oder ggf. "Dienstleistung" berufspraktisch vertieft. Studienschwerpunkte: Grundsätzlich liegt der Studienschwerpunkt auf industrie- oder dienstleistungsorientierter International Business Administration. Im 5. und 6. Semester müssen zwei der folgenden unternehmerischen Funktionsbereiche in Theorie und Praxis vertieft werden: • Controlling, Accounting, Finance • Marketing • Human Resource Management • Materials Management, Logistics, Manufacturing Die theorieorientierte Studienarbeit (5. Sem.) und die praxisorientierte Diplomarbeit (6. Sem.) sind in englischer Sprache anzufertigen. Besonderheiten des Studiengangs IBA [1] Einige Vorlesungen, Seminare, Übungen und Prüfungen werden in englischer Sprache durchgeführt.

In this bilingual curriculum the basics in business administration have been extended to include management in an international environment. The main emphasis is on intercultural experience, mobility and adaptability. The goal of this course is geared toward intensive training in the field of international business. Students have to focus on Industrial Management or on Services Management. Additionally they have to get professional knowledge and experience on two of the subjects following: • Controlling, Accounting, Finance • Marketing • Human Resource Management • Materials Management, Logistics, Manufacturing Course contents Crosscultural environment requires social adaptability as an important contribution to success. Therefore an international career requires professional, methodical and social skills. In addition to the analysis of the economic implications of globalisation, this course aims at insights into and sensitivity towards cross-cultural aspects in international business. Additionally, there are lectures given by persons with practical experience and also by English speaking guests (foreign lecturers and managers). DER STUDIENGANG INDUSTRIE / DIENSTLEISTUNGSMANAGEMENT [IDL] Zielgruppe des Studiengangs Studierende dieser beiden Studienschwerpunkte haben Ausbildungsverträge mit oftmals international tätigen Industriebetrieben abgeschlossen, denen das Selbstverständnis eines kundenorientierten Dienstleisters nicht fremd ist. Hinzu kommt noch eine erhebliche Anzahl an Unternehmen, die Dienstleistungen für Industrieunternehmen erbringen. Zielsetzung Ziel des Studiums in diesem Studiengang ist es, die erforderliche fachliche, methodische, sprachliche, soziale und interkulturelle Kompetenz, sowie die wesentlichen dispositiven Fähigkeiten (Organisation, Planung, Kontrolle, Kommunikation) zu vermitteln. Studieninhalte Den Studierenden des Studiengangs bieten wir, entsprechend den Wünschen der Ausbildungsbetriebe ein klassisches Industriestudium, das durch dienstleistungsspezifische sowie international orientierte Zusatzveranstaltungen ergänzt wird. Alle Studierenden (sowohl aus Industrie- als auch aus Dienstleistungsbetrieben) müssen in den Theoriephasen gemeinsam das komplette Veranstaltungsund Prüfungsprogramm des Studiengangs Industrie absolvieren. Während der Praxisphasen, das heißt, während 50 % der Studienzeit werden die Schwerpunkte

"Industrie" oder "Dienstleistung" oder ggf. "International" vertieft. Studienschwerpunkte Es besteht in diesem Studiengang die Chance, durch eine angemessene Schwerpunkt- und Vertiefungsfächerwahl, ein individuell maßgeschneidertes Studienprogramm zu realisieren. Mögliche Studienschwerpunkte sind: • •

Die Studierenden müssen im 5. und 6. Semester zwei der folgenden unternehmerischen Funktionsbereiche in Theorie und Praxis vertiefen: • • • •

Einige Vorlesungen, Seminare und Übungen werden in englischer Sprache durchgeführt. Studien- und Diplomarbeiten sind auch in englischer und ggf. in französischer Sprache möglich. Es besteht bei entsprechender Nachfrage die Möglichkeit, neben Englisch noch Spanisch und ggf. auch Französisch zu erlernen oder zu vertiefen. Besonderheiten des Studiengangs IDL [1] Die Studierenden absolvieren Teile ihres Studiums gemeinsam mit Kommilitonen des Studiengangs International Business Administration (IBA). [2] Während des ersten Studienjahres

besteht in begründeten Fällen die Möglichkeit, den Studienschwerpunkt zu wechseln (z.B. von IBA zu IDL). Die Zustimmung der Ausbildungsstätte wird hierzu vorausgesetzt. [3] In jedem Semester sind schriftliche Haus- und Projektarbeiten anzufertigen, deren Ergebnisse präsentiert und verteidigt werden müssen. [4] Studierende dieses Studiengangs können gegebenenfalls Theorie- und/oder Praxisphasen bei Unternehmen und Hochschulen im Ausland absolvieren.
