First developed by SPP Pumps Ltd in 1888, the vacuum-assisted, self-priming Autoprime range has become the benchmark for reliable, durable and compliant pump dewatering solutions. Manoeuvrable and versatile, pumps are supplied either in open set configuration or, for quiet, unobtrusive operation, with an acoustic canopy enclosure. With an extensive range spanning stocked products and custom-built pump sets, Autoprime is the solution of choice for thousands of demanding, project-critical applications in the UK and overseas.

Autoprime purchasers include rental organisations, civil works contractors, utility companies, local authorities and municipalities and open cast mining operations.

Dewatering Division has its own dedicated test house for the Autoprime Q series range comprising below ground tanks for suction lift and priming system performance tests, flow and pressure measurement.
For larger engineered-to-order Dewatering packages SPP Pumps tests all pumps in-house. Its 1.2 million litre, six metre deep well can test pressures up to 50 bar and flows up to 2000 litres/s. Fast-run duty tests, regularly witnessed by customers and contractors, typically extend to nine hours.

A high proportion of routine dewatering applications are met ex-stock, directly from the standard Autoprime range. The remainder are built and tailored specifically for customer needs. SPP Pumps’ customised in-house design and analysis
swiftly resolves even complex application challenges. Advanced CAD and engineering software means components can be adapted quickly or, alternatively, completely reimagined if needed. Rigorous on-site testing guarantees absolute product integrity.
CONVENIENCE BUILT-IN. The Autoprime proposition not only allows the optimal pump specification. It also offers the most appropriate and convenient configuration. Contractor pumps are available mounted on road-towable or site trailers as well as skid-type chassis. The highly robust, durable system construction eliminates unnecessary weight, making movement and placement of Q Series trailer-mounted packages on site an easy two-person job – so no need for a crane.

DEWATERING PUMP SOLUTIONS: THE AUTOPRIME RANGE
HIGH FLOW PUMPS Offering superior performance, high flow capability and higher head characteristics, the XF High Flow design provides durable pumps for numerous applications. A double spiral vane designed impeller ensures excellent suction lift performance handling solids up to 4.4” (112mm) diameter. XF pumps include the choice of SmartPrime automatic electric or mechanical priming and a matched range of emissioncompliant engines in either open set of full acoustic canopy for skid or road trailer mounting.
Wheeled chassis or skid-mounted diesel power pack combinations range from 6hp to 200hp with optional noise attenuation via a canopy. All packs are emission-compliant, need no mains supply and feature electric start and automatic safety shutdowns.
ELECTRIC MOTOR DRIVEN PUMPSETS SPP Pumps offers a full range of electric motor driven vacuum-assisted self-priming pumps. Units operate at a fixed synchronous speed or are driven via variable speed drive frequency inverters.

Deployed in hundreds of locations in the UK and overseas, Q-Series pumps provide contractors with a highly compact, readily transportable, very robust dewatering solution. Available with or without a noise-attenuating canopy, all pumps offer a low environmental footprint, combining full liquid containment, excellent fuel efficiency and fully emission-compliant diesel engines. Integrated low life cost features ensure maximum return on capital expenditure.
Allowing users to specify the level of technology required, Autoprime medium head open set pumps offer the chance to create a lower cost pump package for general purpose applications.
With reliable, no-fuss performance, a high capacity diesel fuel tank and elongated solids handling capability, the versatile Q-Series satisfies a wide range of dewatering applications.

The AC (Air Cooled) L (Long Coupled) ranges are wellestablished solutions used in many applications. With pumps sizes from 3” (75mm) to 8” (200mm). The standard Q pump and engine combination can also be configured as an open set arrangement with either mechanical or electric priming systems.
Manufactured with hard wearing materials, HH and XH High Head pumps offer excellent performance for most applications including solids handling. The range spans five models, from the Q-Series style 3” (80mm) acoustic unit, through to 6” (150mm) units with head capability up to about 650ft (200m). All are mechanically sealed and are available with either mechanical priming or the electrical SmartPrime system in either open set of full acoustic canopy for skid or road trailer mounting.
HYDRAULIC SUBMERSIBLE PUMPS SPP Pumps distributes one of the world’s most extensive ranges of hydraulically driven submersible pumps. Over 30 pump ends, available in a variety of materials, are designed to deliver enhanced performance spanning medium and high head as well as demanding high flow applications.
