| INTRO

ENG 1 INTRO Desktop grabber is Axel Technology’s software based solution for broadcasting a portion of your pc screen. You can use it to show your audience the screen captures that you prefer. There are four main sections: Screen Capture, Output, Redirect and Preview.

ENG 2 SCREEN CAPTURE SECTION In the Screen Capture section you have three different ways to playout your desktop: full, ½ and PIP (picture in picture) screen modes. You can see the changes you have done through the Output section preview. In the available Screen Capture preview you can only see what you selected on your desktop.

3 OUTPUT SECTION In the Output section you can choose between three different available presets: one for Skype, one for YouTube, one for Google maps. There is also the possibility to edit or create your preset. In the output section of your Desktop Grabber, select the pencil

portion in the Layout Manager form, or click on the to select it manually. Choosing the last button you will see a grey editable square. Aside of the output preview, there is also a digital slide to set your volume. If you need it, the Audio Resync allows you to have an instantaneous resync between audio and video. If you need to enable or disable your character generator, press Hide PIP CG button.

4 LAYOUT MANAGER At the top of this section you can choose, add, rename, copy or remove your layouts.

4.1

GRAPHICS

Here you can set the background picture by typing its path or browsing the local pc or the network. Once you have found it, if you need to edit the preset, you can change it by clicking on Edit. Through axel CG Composer you can edit your own preset for the background or for the PIP screen mode. In both of them you can insert or search for the path of your *.acg (Axel CG single page) or *.acgs (Axel CG multiple pages) files.

ENG In this section of the Layout Manager you can set the size for the grabber by inserting its four coordinates. By pressing Set Screen button you can manually adapt the grabbing square size. Using the mouse you can move each angle of the square wherever you want. Move the center of the square to translate it completely through the desktop. Under the Set Screen button you can find shortcuts to use Desktop Grabber in a faster way.

VIEW

In this section of the Layout Manager you can customize the halfscreen (1/2) or Picture in Picture (PIP) layout for the view, you can drag & drop the square through all the screen or set its size manually from the two white angles.

5 LEVELS

In the right part of the Desktop Grabber main window there are two other digital slides, one for the Redirect volume level of the output signal and one for the Preview volume level. The preview channel level is the first output step of the sound, previewing the audio of the video that you are watching for. You can also set it to Mute mode. The Redirect level manages the volume of the secondary output.

Here you can decide the minute frequency of the automatic resync.

6.1.2

OUTPUT SETTINGS

Here you can set the Format of your playout, choose it among the available formats according to the screen you have.

You can also set the type of video output.

If you select Video Renderer, you will see a preview window directly on your working screen.

You have also some other optional audio setting features for the output, the source, the Pin and the Buffer.

AUDIO MANAGEMENT

if you need it, in this section you can decide the audio output for your preview among the available ones. If you also need to redirect the audio signal, enable it by ticking on Enable audio redirect, and select the audio outputs you want to use.

6.1.4

GRABBER SETTINGS

Here you decide the size in pixels for the Grab width and the Grab height.

To confirm and exit from the settings form just click on ok, or click on Cancel to Cancel your last changes.

6.2

TOP MOST

If you want to have always a look on Desktop Grabber, click on Top Most and you will have it always focused on.

LOGS CALENDAR

The Logs Calendar button will show you the history of your logs, with the possibility to select a calendar period, and you can also choose for the filters for the different kinds of log properties.

Click on the EXIT BUTTON

to exit from Desktop Grabber.
