Introduction Diffusion has been manufacturing fan convectors, door heaters and air curtains in the UK for over 50 years. During which time it has established an enviable reputation for both quality of product and service. As a company we are critically aware of the need for a low carbon foot print both from ourselves and our customers. To this end, we as a company, source up to 95% of our components from other UK based manufactures and suppliers. Diffusion also offers a wide range of cooling products for both commercial and residential applications.
Bespoke
Not only does Diffusion offer a range of competitively priced standard, stock or short lead time products, it also offers a specialised bespoke product service. This service is primarily aimed at end users, architects, consultants and contractors. This approach has the benefit of providing the customer with the reassurance of knowing that the correct equipment has been designed/selected for the application. Units can be provided to suit all applications in various shapes, sizes and finishes.
Energy Saving
Climate change, energy consumption and building regulation legislation awareness are now key to all good system design. To compliment this new thinking Diffusion developed its energy saving green controller for use on our complete range of heating products. The controller is fully compatible with the Modbus open protocol network, which allows the units to be wired into any BMS system along with other main HVAC plant. Having the units wired using a Modbus network offers the end user closer control which in turn can offer further energy savings by remotely monitoring the set points, fan operation and temperatures.
Objective
Our main objective here at Diffusion is to deliver high quality solutions to the clients needs. Our aim is to design and build a unit that accommodates the specific requirements that our client may have and to do this in the most cost effective way, where the quality is never compromised. We are proud of the previous jobs we have undertaken, especially the ones that have developed into us to being a preferred supplier. We firmly believe that this is down to the great level of service that Diffusion provides. At Diffusion we understand that building a firm relationship with our customers is essential. Darwin Centre The Darwin Centre is a state-of-the-art science and collections facility. The building is the most significant expansion at the Museum since it moved to South Kensington in 1881. Diffusion were asked to provide an air curtain solution that had to keep within the structural appearance of the building. The units were installed between the vertical mullions at 3 metres apart. To prevent any obtrusive electrical wiring being visible the cables had to enter the unit within the mounting brackets.

Moor House Moor House is one of the most prominent and high profile landmark buildings in the city of London Diffusion provided a solution to overcome cold drafts entering the reception area. The bespoke nature of the design allowed the units to fit within the constraints of the entrance area, matching the existing fixings points and colour.

ExCel Centre (Phase 2) ExCel London, the international exhibition and convention centre, is the host venue for a variety of events from award winning exhibitions and conferences to award ceremonies and sporting events. Diffusion provided a number of heating products, ranging from standard stock items to bespoke circular Chameleon air curtains.

Bibendium Restaurant Michelin House commissioned by the Michelin Tyre Company Ltd as their first permanent British headquarters in 1909, has been a favourite London landmark for many years. To add additional heating to the Oyster Bar area of the restaurant, Diffusion provided a bespoke solution. Due to the building having listed status the units could only be mounted over the entrance doors and could be no bigger than 200mm deep. The units were painted to match the door arrangement thus making them very inconspicuous.

Education/Local Authority Cornwallis Academy - Diffusion supplied a number a circular Chameleon air curtains with bespoke bracketry arrangements to match the prefixed steel works. Knowsley Schools - Diffusion were able to provide the full range of products required for this part of the regeneration project as well as bespoke solutions. Diffusion have supplied over a thousand units for this development.
