Savant Keypad Link: SKL-4000

Description Feature Summary

The Savant Keypad Link (SKL-4000) connects lowvoltage keypads to any Savant SmartLighting controller, as well as provide DC power to Savant low-voltage keypads.

• Provides power for up to 40 backlit or nonbacklit keypads • Accepts up to four keypad runs (not to exceed 40 keypads total) for simplified wire management

The SKL-4000 can connect a combination of up to 40 Savant keypads. Multiple Savant Keypad Links can be used if more than 40 keypads are required; up to eight SKL-4000 units can be daisy chained into a single system (supporting up to 256 keypads).

• Daisy chain up to eight SKL-4000 units into a single keypad bus port on a Savant SmartLighting controller

Savant Keypad Links connect to a SmartLighting controller (for example, SSL-P002 or SSL-P018) via the RS-422 keypad bus port and can be installed up to 1000 feet from the controller. The SKL-4000 Savant Keypad Link accepts up to four keypad runs, at a maximum keypad run length of 1000 ft.

• Supports two gang configurations (count as two keypads) • 18 American Wire Gauge (AWG) at 330 feet (cumulative) • 16 AWG at 1000 feet (cumulative) • Use LiteWare (version 5.0 or higher) and RacePoint Blueprint™ design tool to configure and customize the SKL-4000
