Transfer Fee Installments
The Transfer Fees in place at the time of joining can be paid in full or the following installment plan may be used: o 1/3 at the time of joining. o 1/3 when coming off the wait list, or one year after joining, whichever is longer. o 1/3 one year after the second payment. Additional Information Program Fees are Extra. Athletic or Social dues can be paid annually or monthly. Fees & Dues are subject to GST. Corporate Memberships have the right to change nominees for a fee of half of the transfer fee in place at the time of transfer. Athletic & Golf shareholders (active & waitlist) are subject to a facility improvement fee of $50.00 monthly. This fee is dedicated to capital projects and debt retirement.

Junior Golf Development Program – Open to sons and daughters (ages 12-18) of athletic and social members. Membership Limits
The Board of Directors establishes a membership limit in our athletic and golf membership categories in order to assure desired access to our facilities for all members. Currently the limit for Athletic Membership is 750 shareholders and 500 Golf Shareholders including 450 prime time and 50 non prime time certificate players. A social membership is required to go on the wait list. Wait List Options Athletic Wait List - There are two choices while on the athletic wait list 1. Athletic wait list members are charged the monthly social dues. In addition to all social member privileges, shareholders, their spouses and dependants can use the club’s athletic facilities twice per month. The two visits are non accumulative and guest fees are not charged. In addition, athletic wait list members can sign themselves in as a guest up to 12 times per calendar year. Regular guest fees do apply. Programs are available to shareholders, spouses and dependants if space is available one week prior to start. Junior program participation is not included in the twice a month visits or the 12 annual guest visits 2. Non-peak time athletic wait list members are charged 80% of the full dues. In addition to all athletic member privileges, programs are available to shareholders, spouses and dependants if space is available two weeks prior to the program start. Members with non-peak time access are unable to use the athletic facilities, unless in a registered program, Monday to Friday 8:30am – 11:00am & 4:00pm – 6:30pm and Saturday 9:00am – 2:00pm.
Golf Wait List
Shareholders on the golf wait list can golf two times per month (non accumulative) in non-prime times and pay guest green fees in place. One of those two times they can bring up to 3 guests. The tee times must be booked through the Golf Shop no earlier then the day prior to play. Spouses of shareholders on the golf wait list can golf one time per month in nonprime times and pay guest green fees in place. The tee times must be booked through the Golf Shop no earlier then the day prior to play. In addition to the above, shareholders and spouses on the golf wait list can be signed in as a guest by a golf member up to six times per golf season at the regular guest green fee When coming off the wait list, members will go to prime time or non prime time, depending on where the opening occurs.

Please Sign the attached Membership Agreement DERRICK GOLF & WINTER CLUB MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT I, the undersigned Share Applicant or duly authorized Corporate Designee, hereby acknowledge that, if accepted as a Shareholder at the Derrick Golf and Winter Club, the individual or corporate Shareholder receives no rights other than as a Shareholder plus the right to apply for a membership. I, the undersigned hereby agree, in respect of credit privileges which may be granted, to pay all dues owed and charges made on my account as evidenced in monthly statements and in accordance with the Rules and Regulations of the Club as may from time to time be established and published by the Board of Directors, plus interest on such dues and charges outstanding for more than 30 days, compounded monthly, plus the full costs of collection including legal fees on a solicitor/client basis (“Interest and Collection Costs”). If this is a corporate share application, as a duly authorized officer or agent of the corporation share applicant, I agree that the corporate share applicant shall be responsible for such dues, charges, interest and collection costs. If I am the Corporate Designee of the Corporate Share Applicant, then I agree to be jointly and severally responsible for the said dues, charges, Interest and Collection costs. I, the undersigned, agree and acknowledge that if the within applicant for membership is accepted by the Derrick Golf and Winter Club, upon acceptance, I as a member or a corporate designee: a. Adopt and agree with, and to be bound by, the “Articles of Association” and the “Rules and “Regulations, as they may be amended from time to time. b. Without restricting the generality of the foregoing, will pay fees, dues, interest and collection costs and charges including without restriction, entrance fees, membership fees, annual dues, seasonal dues, transfer fees, assessments, deposits and charges payable by members upon admission to the club or payable by members upon admission or transfer to categories of membership of the club or payable for use of club or pro shop facilities or purchases from the club or pro shop of merchandise, food, beverages and services, and that the Board may from time to time determine the terms of payment of such amounts. c. Acknowledge that membership in the Derrick Golf and Winter Club conveys to the member certain rights and privileges as set forth in the Articles and as otherwise established by the Board of Directors from time to time. d. Agree to remain as a member (or that the Corporate Shareholder shall be a member) at the Derrick Golf & Winter Club in one of the categories of membership as listed in the Articles of Association for as long as a member is an active Shareholder. e. Release and Waiver – “I agree that in no event shall the Derrick Golf & Winter Club (“Derrick”), its Directors, Members, Management or Employees be subject to any liability whatsoever for the loss, theft or destruction of, or damage to, any items I may store at the Derrick’s premises. By signing below, I am choosing to store my clubs, equipment and other personal items at the Derrick’s premises, including golf shop, lockers, locker rooms and fitness area, entirely at my own risk. I hereby release the Derrick and its Directors, Members, Management and Employees from any and all liability or responsibility for items stored or theft at the Derrick and I make this Release and Waiver on behalf of myself, my heirs, executors, assigns and any party purporting to have a subrogated interest under
or through me including but not limited to my insurers.” f.

g. Acknowledge that transfer fees are subject to change without notice to the membership. I, as the shareholder of a Basic Share or Corporate Designee of a corporate holder of a Basic Social Share, who has also made application for a Golf Certificate agree that: 1. The Golf certificate is bound by the Articles of Association, as they may be amended from time to time. 2. Without restriction of the generality of the foregoing, I as a Golf Certificate holder will pay all fees, dues and interest and collection costs or as a Corporate Designee of a corporate golf certificate holder, that the corporate holder and I will be jointly and severally responsible to pay all fees, dues and Interest and Collection costs. Applicants for the Golf Certificate may be subject to restrictions or privileges. 3. I as a golf certificate holder or Corporate Designee of a Golf Certificate holder agree that the Golf Certificate shall be retained in one of the categories of Golf Membership as listed in the Articles of Association for as long as I, or the corporate member, hold the Golf Certificate. h. All deposits for membership and/or the Golf Wait List are non refundable. This includes any other wait list in place. i.
Agree to allow communication by the Club’s email system for member statements and club information updates.
Privacy a. The Club collects personal information on the membership for internal use only, including the Club’s membership roster. Any and all personal information is kept in strict confidence and is only provided to an outside organization for the betterment of your membership. These include sporting organizations such as: The Alberta Golf Association, Badminton Alberta, Swim Alberta to which the Derrick members belong to through The Derrick Golf and Winter Club. The Club retains membership information only for the duration of your membership. The Club posts limited personal contact information on the Club’s secure website for members to contact other members. b. The Club’s secure online roster is located at www.derrickclub.com under the Member’s Section. This information is only accessible by members using a password and maintainable only by the members. Members can elect to remove all or part of their personal information (phone, e-mail, address, spouses name, children) at their discretion. c. The Club reserves the right to conduct a background search on applicants for financial and criminal history.
