More than 5,400 Lots of Postage Stamps, Postal History, Collections, Accumulations, Large and otherwise Bulk Lots, and Dealer’s Stocks. Of particular interest is this sale is the wonderful and very comprehensive Wolfgang Diesner, of Cologne, Collection of Worldwide Maritime Mails and Other Postal History. Also featured are the Bremen and United States mid-1850s through the 1890s contract mails. Apart from the maritime mails, of interest is that the Diesner estate also includes some nice United States cancellation mini-collections, such as County Postmarks (Indiana, Montana), Pacific Mail Services (“China Steam”), and cancellations of the United States Postal Agencies n China and Japan. This year, the auctioneer’s traditional “99 Crazy lots for Christmas” include Abraham Lincoln and Elvis Presley Autographs, the $4 Black United States Wells Fargo issue, and rare Panama and British Guiana items.
