Recital Schedule The recital schedule has been posted. You should have been sent a copy to your email address on file; if you have not yet received your schedule, please check your spam filter, or check with the secretary to be sure that we have your email address in our system correctly. We also have a full copy of the dress rehearsal schedule and the recital schedule posted on the bulletin board at the studio. Also, dressing room assignments will be sent out soon, so be on the lookout for those.

Be sure to place your order for your recital t-shirt by May 7th. We would love to have you volunteer! Volunteers help keep the recital running smoothly; please submit the volunteer sign-up form, indicating where you would like to help out. Recital handbook – please be sure to read this, and keep a copy on hand, as it has all of the information needed for navigating recital. Placing an announcement in the recital program – these are due in by May 7th. Recital schedule – be sure to print off a copy to keep during recital, especially if your dancer is in multiple dances; It will help to keep confusion down. SIGN UP for a portrait session – pictures will be taken May 7th – May 22nd

Recital Advertising and T-Shirts Did you know that it is possible to reach 2000 different people by advertising in the Dayton Dance Conservatory’s recital program? Placing an ad is easy – and is a great way to wish your favorite dancer “Good Luck” on the performance. You can also advertise your business – and all businesses that advertise in the recital program will also receive a FREE listing on our website, www.DaytonDanceConservatory.com, after the recital. This is our way of saying thank you for supporting our dancers. If you are interested in more information on placing an ad, please pick up a form at the front desk. All ads, forms, and payments are due by May 7th.

Our Mini Dugout Dancers are having a fabulous baseball season already! If you haven’t been able to make it to a game to see them yet, you still have loads of opportunities. Here is the upcoming schedule:

2016 Summer Dance Program Creative Movement (Ages 3 & 4) 3 Week Session (Six 45 minute classes): July 25 – August 10

Beginning Ballet & Beginning Jazz Combo (Ages 7-10)

Monday & Wednesday Evenings 6:00pm – 6:45pm

3 Week Session (Six 1 hour, 45 minute classes): July 25 – August 10

Dress Code: Solid light pink leotard; no attached skirts, pink tights and pink leather ballet shoes. Hair secured in a ponytail Monday & Wednesday Evenings or bun. No underwear. Must be potty trained. Beginning Ballet: 6:45pm – 7:45pm Beginning Jazz: 7:45pm – 8:30pm

Pre-Tap I (Age 4) 3 Week Session (Six 30 minute classes): July 25 – August 10 Monday & Wednesday Evenings 5:30pm – 6:00pmDress Code: Solid color leotard; no attached skirts, nude or pink tights and tan Mary Jane tap shoes. Hair secured in a ponytail or bun. No underwear. Must be potty trained.

Dress Code: Solid color leotard; no attached skirts and pink tights. Shoes: Pink leather ballet shoes and tan slip on jazz shoe (no laces). Hair secured in a bun. No underwear.

Beginning Tap (Age 7-10) 3 Week Session (Six 45 minute classes): July 25 – August 10 Monday & Wednesday Evenings 6:45pm – 7:30pm

Pre-Ballet & Pre-Tap II Combo (Ages 5 & 6)

Dress Code: Solid color leotard; no attached skirts, nude or pink tights and tan Mary Jane tap shoes. Hair secured in a ponytail or bun. No underwear.

3 Week Session (Six 90 minute classes): July 25 – August 10 Monday & Wednesday Evenings Pre-Ballet: 5:15pm – 6:00pm

Advanced Beginner (Ages 8-11 with prior experience)

Pre-Tap: 6:00pm – 6:45pm Dress Code: Solid light pink leotard; no attached skirts and pink tights. Shoes: Pink leather ballet shoes and tan Mary Jane tap shoes. Hair secured in a ponytail or bun. No underwear.

3 Week Session: July 26 – August 11 Tuesday & Thursday Evenings 6:00-7:30 Ballet 7:30-8:30 Modern Dress Code: Solid color leotard; no attached skirts and pink convertible tights. Shoes: Pink leather ballet shoes, barefoot for modern. Hair secured in a bun. No underwear.

This year we are losing two of our beloved secretaries, as their dancers are graduating from High School this year. The purpose of the position is to provide administrative support to the Office Manager and President. Duties include general clerical, receptionist and project based work. Project a professional company image through in-person and phone interaction. Secretaries will report to the Office Manager. Secretaries receive tuition credits for their service. We would like to invite all interested parents to email the studio. We will then set up a time for an interview with Ms. Audra and Ms. Leandra. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the studio.
