CREATION

Directions: Read each story-box then draw and color the things mentioned that God created (story-boxes are not in order). When finished drawing the things created in each story-box, cut out all the story-boxes and the day squares. Use glue or double sided tape to attach the correct day square to the correct story-box. Put all the story-boxes in order then stable them together to make a creation booklet that will help you remember the things and order of God’s amazing work! Parents/Teachers: A good idea would be to go over the story with the children prior to this activity. You may also have them begin the activity then once they have completed their drawings, have them listen to the story and try to determine for themselves what day square goes where (guiding as necessary).

In the beginning of creation, God made space and earth. The earth had no land and was only water. It was very dark on earth. God said “let there be light” and light came into existence. God separated the light from the darkness. He called the light day and the darkness He called night. All of this happened in one day! Genesis 1:1-5

God rested on this day. Not because He was tied but because He had finished His work of creation. God wants man to follow His pattern of resting on one day out of seven. Genesis 2:1-3
