Philanthropic Support The American Diabetes Association The 2013 Mizuno Lone Star Classic is extremely excited to continue its partnership with the American Diabetes Association (ADA) as the primary philanthropy this year. The mission of the ADA is to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes. ADA accomplishes their mission by funding research to prevent, cure, and manage diabetes, delivering services to hundreds of communities, providing objective and credible information, and giving voice to those denied their rights because of diabetes. The Mizuno Lone Star Classic will be working with the ADA to accomplish two goals this year: raise awareness about diabetes and raise funds for diabetes research.

LSC will be hosting “Go RED to STOP Diabetes” Day for diabetes awareness. We are asking that all attendees wear red on Saturday of each weekend of LSC (April 13 & 20). Parents and Coaches – Pull out those red shirts and show your support! Players – Even if your uniform isn't red, you can still wear a red ribbon in your hair or wear red socks or shoelaces. Most of all just be creative and show your support! Teams – Show your “Red” spirit and post your best and most spirited photo on the Mizuno Lone Star Classic Facebook page. We will publish the winning photo on the front page of the LSC website. So, get your team together for some great shots.

TEXT ADA to 25383 to make a $5 donation to the Mizuno Lone Star Classic National Qualifier fundraiser for the American Diabetes Association. Standard messaging rates apply.
