Family structure and functioning in families with disabled and chronically ill children. Development and assessment of treatment protocols for specific pediatric clinical groups, including reflex neurovascular dystrophy, psychogenic pain, failure-tothrive, reactive attachment disorders, parenting strategies for ADHD.

Child-parent attachment and family functioning in families having preschool children with cerebral palsy, epilepsy, or craniofacial anomalies. Patterns of child-parent attachment, and of parent-child caregiving, in British families who have adopted Romanian-born, institutionalized, infants and preschool children. In collaboration with Professor Sir Michael Rutter, and Professor Thomas G. O’Connor, Institute of Psychiatry, London. Development of attachment-based intervention protocols for families raising children with problematic attachments (current samples are: Head Start/Early Head Start children; young mothers serving prison terms; young mothers in high school; and children in Foster Care/Adoptive care).
