ABOUT MYSELF AND MY ROLE IN THE IT INDUSTRY I was last employed at Flygprestanda in Malmö, Sweden, as a Java programmer, from Sept. 2012 March 2013. Here I contributed to the development of the FOCS system, which is used in the planning of scheduled flights. Prior to this, I was a Matlab-developer at the University of Copenhagen's Department of Geography for one year. I also worked 4-5 years on a program for automatic image processing with the aim of making images look good on print. My interest in photography contributed to my getting this job. I have recently completed a number of courses in image analysis at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), corresponding to ½ year's full-time studies. I therefore have both practical and theoretical knowledge of image analysis. I have a master's degree in chemical engineering and already during my studies I became interested in computer programming in the course of developing a Fortran program for simulation of biological processes in a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in connection with my thesis. Immediately upon completion of my MSc, I trained to become an environmental coordinator, and was subsequently employed as such at WWTP Lynetten. For this reason I have a general knowledge of quality management, which can also be used in software development. Furthermore, I became proficient in writing technical documentation for Lynetten's skilled and unskilled workers . After working at Lynetten, I followed the IT Diploma program at Copenhagen University College of Engineering, which I subsequently used during a 1-year appointment as a Java developer at DMI

(Danish Meteorological Institute). Here I developed a program for troubleshooting and interpolation of data from weather stations, which gave me a knowledge of how to develop statistical algorithms. As a person I am very humoristic and place much emphasis on my work being both analytical and creative. I cultivate my creative side in photography, which is my hobby. MSc in Engineering with chemistry as the general field, DTU(Tech. Uni. of Denmark) -Preliminary Thesis: Crisis management on three existing wastewater treatment plants of the activated sludge type. Two of the plants were alternating and one was of the re-circulating type. A simulation-program (EFOR) developed by Krüger A/S was used to investigate the three plants, in order to find the most appropriate control strategy for incidents of rain and the melting of ice. The project was done in cooperation with Krüger A/S. - Thesis: Comparison of three control strategies for nitrogen removal in wastewater treatment plants with alternating activated sludge. During this work a program in Fortran was developed in order to simulate the fundamental biological processes in a wastewater treatment plant of the activated sludge type. The project was done in cooperation with Krüger A/S, who has developed the activated sludge principle. - Project about physical chemistry: The accuracy of the time dependent SCF approximation of non-elastic collisions. During this project a program in Fortran was developed in order to simulate a collision between two atoms.
