Administrative and Research Experience December 1985 - July 1989 Adult Literacy Program Director Office of the Mayor City of New York 250 Broadway New York, New York Served as liaison between the Mayor‘s Educational Advisor and the New York State Education Department for the purpose of making funding decisions, contract compliance monitoring, policy making, program development and program marketing of the New York City Adult Literacy Initiative. Also in this capacity, developed and coordinated the educational activities with the Mayor for his own ―adopted class‖ of the citywide Adopt-AClass Program, a mayoral initiative with the public schools.
