CRUISING FROM ADELAIDE Introducing CMV

After the premium cruise ship ASTOR was purchased and was so well received in her first two seasons in Australia, Cruise and Maritime Voyages (CMV) is excited to see her return for a fourth season in Australia in October 2016 through to March 2017. Privately owned, CMV’s growth in just six years in operation in Britain has been outstanding, humbling and strategic. The company has aligned itself only with ships and destinations of the highest quality. In a short time it has successfully immersed itself in strong cruise markets - Europe, America and Australia. Holidaymakers in these regions know and understand cruising and are spoilt for choice of vessels, so CMV proudly boasts that more than 95 per cent of its guests have rated the enjoyment of their cruise experience to have been either “excellent” or “good”. The latest and newest member of the CMV fleet is the 1250-passenger MAGELLAN. Formerly known as Grand Holiday, MAGELLAN is 221m long and has nine facility-packed passenger decks. She is the new flagship of the CMV ocean fleet and has begun cruising throughout Europe in CMV livery this year. CMV also understands that while modern vessels with modern facilities are attracting people to this evergrowing form of holiday-making, the traditional style of cruising is what passengers enjoy. CMV proudly stays true to this and is still able to offer a quality home away from home. CMV operates four cruise ships. Joining ASTOR and MAGELLAN are the 800-passenger MARCO POLO, and the 550-passenger ASTORIA. CMV also operates the European river cruise ships Bellefleur, Bellejour and Belvedere. CMV’s cruise industry expertise spans almost five decades. It is a member of the prestigious Passenger Shipping Association and the Association of Cruise Experts. Cruise and Maritime Voyages Pty Limited is part of the CMV Holdings London Travel and Leisure Group, whose international head office is based in Essex, England. CMV has sales offices also in Florida USA, Germany and Sydney, Australia. CMV has also taken over the management of the German tour operator TransOcean. 2017 will be ASTOR’s first season cruising from Adelaide.

Adelaide to London 9 MAR - 25 APR 17

While ASTOR waves farewell to Adelaide, she and her guests have an exciting journey ahead. First stops are the gorgeous West Australian towns of Esperance and Albany, which offer some of the whitest sand beaches, followed by Fremantle, the biggest cruise port in Western Australia and gateway to Perth. Your next stop is the amazing island of Mauritius, home of the crystal blue water that you see in movies and on postcards. It’s surely where the words ‘beauty’ and ‘relaxation’ were born. Its neighbour island Reunion is no less spectacular. Durban has a day to show off its beach lifestyle, particularly to those who get a chance to visit the Golden Mile beach area. A highlight will be a two day visit of Cape Town, which allows you to get a greater taste of what Cape Town has to offer, including the famous Table Mountain. ASTOR then makes her way around the iconic Cape of Good Hope and visits Walvis Bay, Namibia, followed by the isolated tropical volcanic islands of St. Helena and Ascension, followed by the picturesque Canary Island of La Palma. Then visit Casablanca, Morocco’s main port, and Lisbon, before ASTOR sets sail for Tilbury, where she will commence her European summer.

47 night holiday includes: •

45 night cruise from Adelaide to London (Tilbury) Coach transfer from Tilbury port to Victoria Station in London • 2 nights at Radisson Blu Edwardian Berkshire London, including breakfast • One-way airfare from London to Australia (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide or Perth) • Port charges, government fees & air taxes •

RESTAURANTS

Superb cuisine

Deciding what to eat can often be the toughest decisions you make while on board ASTOR.

All inclusive

All meals are included in your fare with CMV, which makes cruising great value for money. And on board ASTOR, that means breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, a five course dinner and late night snacks. Food is always one of the highlights of any holiday and cruising is no different, even though you are at sea. ASTOR’s chefs excel in creating new and delicious dishes which will have you looking forward to your next meal - which is never far away. Guests have a choice of an à la carte dining experience or a more casual buffet for breakfast and lunch.

Your evening meal starts with an appetiser, followed by a delicious soup, one of the specialties of the chefs on board. Main courses options range from appetising seafood, Italian pastas, stir fries and traditional roasts – and that’s just a small taste of what may be offered. Tasty vegetarian meals plus something for those a bit more health-conscious also feature on the menu. A light salad is also served, before rounding off your meal with an international cheese platter, fresh fruit or one of the very popular and delicious desserts - including apple strudel, Baked Alaska, English trifle, blueberry cheese cake, Peach Melba, crème caramel, fresh fruit, strawberry tart or the famous ASTOR chocolate mousse. Australian draught beers are available at the ship’s bars, plus a selection of fine Australian and European red and white wines are available to complement your meal. 9

This deposit secures your cruise berth, hotel room and Indian Pacific reservation. Final payment is due 100 days prior to departure from Australia. Nevertheless, should you feel you have exceptional service from a particular crew member, you are quite at liberty to additionally reward the individual concerned.
