Budapest is two cities linked together by the shores of the Danube: one occupied by the past, and the other the present. Your journey through this city will find you turning the corner from one to another: whether passing the pock-marked walls scarred by the last century's wars, or revitalized in its post-communist renaissance, the city allows you to celebrate both. Expiate your indulgences in the sweet Tokaj wines by cleansing in one of the many thermal baths. Sample the panoply of food choices that make Hungarian food distinct. And enjoy one of Europe's capitals that is most notably on the rise! We recommend the following accommodations if you choose to stay in Budapest before or after your trip: Budapest Marriott Hotel
