RIVER PO’S WETLANDS It’s possible to visit a large area of wetlands of Stagno Lombardo south of the farmhouse Ferrara, little known and characterized by the presence of various elements of environmental interest: an oxbow of the longest remaining along the Po, with a rather peculiar morphology (in a recessed portion flows between steep walls rather as a sort of small canyons), some old wooded areas and an extensive reforestation of the recent years. SWEET TORRONE, THE NOUGAT FESTIVAL In the month of November there is a festival entirely devoted to the particular specialties of Cremona, the nougat. Over the course of two weekends in the city center dozens of tents offer the visitor all possible variations of His Majesty the nougat. Accompany the nine-day event more than one hundred workshops that highlight the features of this sweet and will suggest pairings as well as several tender moments between the various manufacturers. The event concludes with a sound and light show that takes place in the central Piazza del Duomo.
