Portfolios ortfolios and exit interviews are parts of the graduation requirements. Students who do not complete this process will not receive a diploma. Your completed e-portfolio portfolio completed in “Career Cruising” is due in April of your our senior year. This will allow evaluators time to review your portfolio before interviews. Each student will complete a senior exit interview. Members of the community and school staff will be on the interview panel. You should provide each member of the panel an updated copy of your resume. It is recommended that you use the “resume builder” in Career Cruising to create a resume. An interview timetable will be handed out at the end of April showing your scheduled appointment. During the interview, students tudents are expected to use their e-portfolios portfolios to help demonstrate what they accomplished during high school. Johnson Creek High School Community Service Record

Use the Community Service Record form to document community service hours which are needed to meet graduation requirements. When choosing community service projects, you should keep in mind that these activities can help you discover more about potential careers. You might be surprise about what you learn! Each service project and the hours of service must be verified by a signature of an adult supervisor. Signatures from parents or family members will not be accepted. To graduate, students must be involved in community service activities and need to document at least 20 hours of service. Community service activities can not be school organized or during a school day. Activities must be unpaid and non-credit earning. Signed records of service should be scanned and uploaded to career cruising so the form is not lost. Accepted Forms Of Community Service: Coaching sports for youth, Food Pantry, Habitat for Humanity, Humane Society, Boys & Girls Club, Salvation Army, 4-H, After School Program, Animal or Homeless Shelter, Daycare, Library, Nursing Homes, and Church related volunteer work such as teaching Sunday School, Nursery, Mission Trips…… Non-Accepted Forms Of Community Service: High School Club Positions, Musicals, Band, Marching/Jazz Band, Any Dances (Homecoming, Prom, Formal), School Decorating, Running a School Sponsored Concession Stand, Babysitting, Sports, Talent Show, Church Services such as Acolyte, Confirmation, Ushering, Choir, any court ordered service……… (Although these activities do not count for community service, they are important and should be recorded in other sections of your e-portfolio.)
