COMING UP AT COVENANT CHURCH

How BIG Do You Want to DREAM in 2015? It’s a New Year. Why not take every opportunity you can to seed the Word of God deeply into your heart? Why not get filled up with His good plans and good thoughts towards you? Allow yourself to imagine, to dream, and to envision His good plans for your life. God loves you and created you to have a vision of something bigger than just “today.” This New Year, decide that you will create your future with faith—you will not be deterred by fear. Remind yourself that you have “ears to hear” the Word and the still small voice of the Lord. You are a believer of His Word and our prayer for you today at Covenant Church is that you turn up your “faith-dial” in 2015! Let your future hear your voice—speak life!

2015 A New Year with New Possibilities!

Many people excitedly celebrate the coming of the New Year because the idea of a whole new year, filled with new possibilities, gives them hope for a better tomorrow. However, consider this: 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” In 2015, you not only have a new year, but God in Christ has made ALL THINGS new for you—what new possibilities! How did God make all things new for you? First, He made it possible for you to be in Christ. Think about that—your life is now enfolded in the second person of the Holy Trinity! God includes you in everything and in everyplace where Christ is included—what new possibilities! Second, He made you a new creation—the Greek word for creation can literally mean universe. The rabbis of old taught that when you save a life, you save a whole world. However, the Bible takes it further—it teaches that if you are in Christ, you’re a whole new universe—what new possibilities! Third, old things are passed away—in Christ, things that were long-time present in your life, and always factors resisting change, are gone—what new possibilities! Our prayer for you today at Covenant Church is that you enjoy not only a new year, but also a new everything with new possibilities! Love, Pastors Nathanael & Michelle

PRAYER

EVERY TUESDAY AT NOON IN THE SANCTUARY

At Covenant Church, we believe in the power of prayer. Because we have been made partakers in Jesus’ victory over sin and death (1 John 4:4), we have the authority as sons and daughters of God to pray for others, pushing back the darkness of sin and oppression. Join us every Tuesday at noon in prayer for our church, community, and country. Our goal is not simply to be a church with a prayer ministry, but to be a praying church.

TUESDAY

CORPORATE
