6th Grade Math Course Outcomes

1 SWBAT apply understandings of numbers to the system of rational numbers. 2 SWBAT compute fluently with multi-digit numbers and find common factor multiples. 3 SWBAT apply multiplication and division to include fractions and decimals exclusively from one another. 4 SWBAT extend understandings of arithmetic to identify and evaluate algebraic expressions. 5 SWBAT solve one-variable equations and inequalities using dependent and independent variables. 6

SWBAT develop concepts of ratio and rate in order to solve a variety of problems and to initiate an understanding of percent.
