SMALL GROUP PRACTICE

Simultaneously the theoretical program, will develop pre-clinical practices, which will complement the student's training. These practices are organized into groups, with a number of 30 students per group (depending on enrollment). The distribution of pupil / teacher ratio is set at random. There are three large blocks of pre-clinical practices, each with a duration in weeks according to their content and complexity. Such works have a compulsory subject to be evaluated. Similarly, attendance is mandatory. Given the continued evaluation of the course, in the following cases the student will lose the option to be considered in the final practical test in the current academic year: 1. Practices Exemption (excused or unexcused) 2. Not having the equipment needed for their implementation; 3. No exceedance of Preclinical Practice with a minimum score of at least 5 out of 10.

SYSTEM FOR ASSESSING THE ACQUISITION OF THE COMPETENCES: GRADING Assesment Tool

LEARNING OUTCOMES ASSESSED

Allocated Percentage

Attendance and participation The teacher assesses the participation, involvement and progression of acquiring knowledge and skills of the student during classroom and curriculum practices.

-

-

Jobs The student, individually or in groups, made a subject of review or investigation and submits it in writing for evaluation by the teacher.

-

-

Oral The student develops through an oral presentation, supported or not media, theme, or work commissioned by the teacher. At the end of exposure the teacher or the audience can ask questions.

-

-

Simulations,OSCE In the simulations try to play similar situations in real life under standardized conditions, which allow the teacher to analyze the clinical skills of students in specific situations. Computer simulations are used or simulated standardized patients. You can also use the test known as Objective Structured Clinical Evaluation (OSCE).

-

-

Curricular practices Monitoring by the tutor of the resolution of practical exercises, case reports or problems concerning knowledge of different subjects. And the evaluation of professional activity in a real environment

-

-

Review open questions Written test that assesses knowledge and primarily the student's ability to relate, integrate, and express coherently in written language. case Studies.

Minimum requirements: * For the evaluation and final grade for the course is necessary for the student passes separately each and every one of the areas and assessment tools with a minimum score of at least 5 out of 10. Criteria for granting honors: Honor license plates may be granted to the best students, who must have obtained a minimum grade of 9. If circumstances require, may grant a special test to determine those students deserve the honors, given the limitation of 5% of the students enrolled. n second and subsequent calls may only be granted the license plate of honor that could subtract after the first call. Development of the subject in second and subsequent registrations: There will be a specific group for students who are not of first registration if you exceed the occupancy limit of the classroom and a teacher in charge of that group. The teacher in charge of this group held 6 sessions of monitoring and mentoring of 2 hours each. The powers to acquire the skills and abilities of the course will take place across all practices scheduled for the course. Each session will run the course so as to strengthen the job skills that every student needs to pass the course. The evaluation of content and skills in the examination will be held fixed in the official calendar for this subject.
