ACCESS European Convention Center Luxembourg (ECCL) Press centre entrance 2, rue Fort Thüngen 1499 Luxembourg Access to the press centre is granted upon presentation of the necessary documents (see p. 9) and completion of a security check. Public and press car parks 'Europe' public car park, Place de l’Europe, access via avenue J F Kennedy. This car park is free of charge for accredited press representatives. The “Salle de conférences” exit leads to the press centre. Prior to departure from the ECCL remember to validate your parking ticket at the press info desk. The ticket will then be valid for the following 24 hours. Parking for satellite vehicles Parking spaces are available in avenue J F Kennedy and rue Fort Thüngen (see p. 22). ACCREDITATION

PRESS CENTRE

The ECCL press centre applies the same accreditation requirements in force at the Council’s Justus Lipsius building in Brussels. Journalists and technicians accredited to the European institutions are granted access upon presentation of: • Interinstitutional press card issued by the Commission (yellow card), OR • Council six-month badge, and • A valid national identity card or passport. In all other cases, access is granted upon presentation of: • A valid national identity card or passport; • A valid press card OR a letter signed by the editor-in-chief of the media organisation, confirming the professional status of the media representative and his/her assignment to cover the event on behalf of the same media.

The press centre is located on four levels (-2, -1, 00 and +1). The press room is located on level 00, the national briefing rooms on levels 00 and +1. Internal screens Internal screens broadcasting images and displaying information are located throughout the press centre. Press conferences Press conferences and national press briefings will be announced on internal screens. Services Members of the press will have access to the following: • lockers; • fax machines, • printers and photocopiers.

Loss of a badge Report immediately to the accreditation office (press centre entrance) or the information desk +352 43 02 70000 / 70001 / 70002.

Lost property Lost property may be retrieved from the reception desk at the main entrance of the ECCL building. At the end of each month, items not claimed will be delivered to the main reception desk of the Justus Lipsius building in Brussels. The General Secretariat of the Council is not liable for the loss of any items belonging to the members of the press. The use of the provided lockers is recommended. Medical assistance Call the emergency team (tel. 59037 or 59039), approach a member of the security staff present in the building, or dial 112. Catering services The restaurant and bar are located on level -2 opposite to the press lobby (2, rue Fort Thüngen). Opening hours will vary depending on the duration of the Council meeting.
