1. Deck Mounted Slides

Deck mounted slides are typically attached to the flooring, or deck, of the coach. These slides are installed late in the production process. The most common application is on Bed slides or Wardrobe slides. However, small Sofa slides mounted around or over the wheel well are also common.

Standard slide outs are attached (usually welded) to an ‘I’ beam or tube chassis. The chassis manufacturer typically installs these slides. The most common application is for Galley slides, some Sofa Dinette slides, and other medium sized rooms that do not require a flat (flush) floor interface between the room and the coach

Flush floor slide outs are attached (usually welded) to and ‘I’ beam or tube chassis. The chassis manufacturer typically installs these slides. The most common application is for Sofa/Dinettes and other large rooms that require the interface between the slide out room floor to be level, or “flush”, with the coach floor. This eliminates a tripping hazard, provides more usable space for dinette chairs, and creates a larger “feel” to the coach.
