With this in mind, Sympatex developed a non-porous membrane consisting of billions of hydrophilic molecules which uses a physiochemical process to rapidly transport moisture from the inside to the outside. It ensures that the body always remains dry – even in extreme situations. Not only that, the membrane also provides effective protection against rain. Unlike standard microporous structures, the Sympatex membrane retains maximum functionality even after activity in continuous rain or washing as there are no pores that can become blocked.

Maximum Ecology Many companies still use PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) in the production of their waterrepellent functional textiles. This creates fluorine compounds that are not biodegradable. The Sympatex membrane is completely PTFEfree and PFC-free. The Sympatex production method uses a material made of polyether and polyester, better known from the production of PET water bottles. This compound consists of hydrogen, oxygen and carbon and is thus 100% recyclable and poses no threat to health. Because of this high level of environmental compatibility, the Sympatex membrane has been awarded Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 certification. This involves extremely stringent testing for possible contaminants. The certification guarantees that the membrane is in no way harmful to health. What is WMS? WMS is a width measurement system for children’s shoes that fit and has helped children’s feet to grow healthily for more than 40 years. WMS is the quality seal for children’s shoes in the German Shoeinstitute (DSI). The licence that is awarded to qualified shoe manufacturers is held by the HDS – Federation of German Footwear Industry.

As well as the length, they take different widths into consideration. The latest asset of the KangaROOS Made in Germany line is a collaboration with the Stuttgart sneaker store SUPPA. KangaROOS and SUPPA created a limited edition based on the COIL R-1 model and made from high-quality materials. 35th birthday party Am 13. Mai 2014 haben wir mit einem großen Event unser 35jähriges Markenbestehen und den Start in die Saison Spring/Summer 2015 zelebriert. Unter dem Motto ‚Party with the Animal‘ luden wir Kunden, Partner, VIPs und die Presse ein, einen Abend lang mit uns zu feiern. Präsentiert wurden Kollektions-Highlights aus dem vergangen Jahr und eine Aussicht auf die kommende Saison. Gewürzt wurde das Programm mit Auftritten der niederländischen Breakdance-Gruppe The Hustle Kidz, sowie Youngstar Justen Beer und dem international erfolgreichen BMX-Künstler Chris Böhm. Zu unseren VIP-Gästen zählten unter anderem Moses Pelham, Psaiko. Dino, Tim Schwerdter, die VIOVIO Clique und die Crème-de-la-Crème der Sneaker-Stores (43einhalb, Overkill, Asphaltgold und Suppa). Im Anschluss wurden die Gäste durch ein Flying Dinner verwöhnt und ließen die Party mit Polaroid-Schnappschüssen vor der KangaROOS Fotowand ausklingen.

On May 13th 2014 we celebrated our 35th brand anniversary, as well as the presentation of our new line Spring/Summer 2015. We‘ve invited customers, partners, VIPs and the press to the ‚Party with the Animal‘. Heute lebt Eric, das weiße KangaROOS Bennett - Känguru, mit einem Weibchen und einer Tochter glücklich auf dem Pferdehof ArhönA. Auf ArhönA ist immer was los! Ob Urlaub im Zirkuswagen, Wandern, Radeln, Reiten oder einfach nur Schlemmen und Relaxen, auf dem Pferdehof können Groß und Klein Ihren Spass haben. Beim Reitunterricht erlernen Anfänger und auch Fortgeschrittene den richtigen Umgang mit Pferden und wer Lust hat, dem bringt man auch das Pferdeflüstern bei.

MEET ERIC Meet Eric: unser außergewöhnlichster KangaROOS Kollege! Eric, das weisse Känguru hatte es anfangs nicht ganz leicht. Der Aussenseiter wurde aufgrund seiner Fellfarbe bei Versuchen verschiedener Tierparks, ihn in ein Rudel zu integrieren, ziemlich heftig von seinen Artgenossen attackiert. Alle bisherigen Integrationsversuche mussten daher für unseren kleinen KangaROOS Zögling zur Sicherheit abgebrochen werden. Die weiße Fellfarbe stellt in der freien Natur ein Sicherheitsrisiko für das ganze Rudel dar, daher werden die sehr seltenen weißen Exemplare in den meisten Fällen von ihrem Rudel abgestossen. Selbst in Gefangenschaft gab es für Eric nur eine Chance: sein eigenes Rudel zu gründen.
Meet Eric: Our most unusual KangaROOS colleague! Eric, the white kangaroo, didn‘t have a very easy time of it at first.Because of the colour of his fur, the little outsider was violently attacked by his fellow kangaroos whenever he was introduced to a troop at a new zoo. For his own safety, all attempts to integrate our little KangaROO had to be abandoned. In the great outdoors, his white coat would threaten the safety of the entire troop. White kangaroos are extremely rare, and in most cases are rejected by their troop. Even in captivity, Eric only had one chance: to start his own troop! Today, Eric the white Bennett KangaROO lives happily with a female kangaroo and their daughter at the ArhönA horse riding stables. There‘s always something happening at ArhönA! From a holiday in a circus wagon, hiking, cycling, and horse riding to simply dining and relaxing, both kids and adults will have fun at the stables. Riding lessons teach beginners and more advanced riders how to properly handle horses, and anyone who wants to can also learn horse whispering.
