Logistic Concept principle The total consumption of a certain item by location for a given period of time is estimated by thorough analysis.
Logistic Concept practical Today several different logistic and replenishment systems are used in Hospitals all over the world. Among them ”Topping off” and ”Exchange Carts” - Scan Modul System storage solutions supports of course all these concepts.
Nevertheless - it has shown that our “No Count” concept in practice is the easiest, most secure and most time saving concept. “No Count” always ensures: The right item, in the right quantity at the right place, at the right time.

The total consumption is divided into two and placed respectively in the “active compartment” and the “backup compartment”

We call this logistic concept: ”No Count” simply because you do not have to count! 6

SMDS Software a solution for the future With Scan Modul Data System (SMDS) we offer a range of unique software modules. SMDS is a logistical support application that gives you full control over supplies and consumption – coming from the vendors, to the individual department and in the treatment of each patient. The supply module is our basic module, controlling the internal supply chain between central storage and the department stocks. To control the supply and the storage we offer 4 “add on” modules. Inventory draws a real time picture of the overall stock situation. By integration with the Purchase module a complete control of purchases is ensured.
The entire program consists of 7 modules working either independently or integrated with one another. Step-by-step the program opens up the possibility to go further and further in the links of the supply chains. In close collaboration with the Management of the Hospital and the individual departments, the real IT need is determined. With Scan Modul System as your IT-supplier and logistical partner you will have: A professional and experienced consultant, with a finger on the pulse, who will guide you safely across the finishing line.
The Supply module manages the internal supply chain, it ensures that internal supply departments focus wholly and effectively on the hospitals core business. By coupling supply as part of the “treatment chain” patient care will be improved. The goal of having the right item, in the right quantity, at the right place at the right time will be realized.
The Patient module guarantees the documentation of consumption of items and services during the treatment of individual patients. With this module it is easy to calculate and analyze the cost of different treatments. It is a user-friendly module, which takes the preparation of patient treatment into consideration. As a result it fits naturally into the daily working environment of nurses.

Connect the Tender module (Bid module) for a brilliant overview over bids, offers and contracts. Finally the invoice module ensures optimized control of invoices. If consumption should be linked to a single patient, treatment or operation we offer the Patient module or the OR Management module.

The OR Management module makes it easy to plan future operations, print packing lists and register extra consumption during an operation. The exact price of an operation can be calculated and the module provides you with the opportunity to follow up on economical as well as the clinical objectives.
The Inventory module offers comprehensive options for controlling the inventory across the entire organization. The module makes it possible to track data of deliveries and purchases on a daily basis. The module can be fully integrated with other modules thus providing comprehensive options for controlling inventory and minimizing stock.
The Purchase module gives you features that enable total control of purchasing. The module optimizes supply flow to the departments by having the right items for the inventory at the right time.
The Tender module (Bid module) is a superstructure of the Purchase module. It is an effective tool for the professional purchasers used for creating of bids, evaluations of offers from vendors and for implementing and follow up on contracts.
The Invoice Control module is a substructure of the Purchase module and gives the individual invoice controller a detailed overview for approving vendor invoices. The module contains functions that recognize vendor invoices to the payment systems.

Modules Intelligent storage starts with intelligent modules! Build your own system with modules made from steel mesh, transparent and grey plastic. The result is a sophisticated storage system. Using dividers you have the possibility for flexible and individual separation into smaller compartments.
This provides two insert possibilities allowing the modules to move freely through the entire system!
Designed for stacking. Perforated for safety stops. Made with beaded edges. Washable for short term at max. 176o F. Our steel baskets are also designed for stacking and compartmentalization with dividers.

Transportation trolleys
Distribution trolleys
Smooth design. Functional Vario panels. Single, double or triple. A or B insertion. Vertical handles. 4 swivel wheels, 2 with brakes. Delivered with doors or roller shutters.
Can be supplied with various fronts.
The trolleys are made as 1-, 2- or 3-sections. Every section holds 10 pairs of Vario supports. Solid handles allow easy maneuverability. Easy access to the modules from both sides. Possibility of inserting Vario wheels for heavy items in the supports. 4 bumper wheels. 4 swivel wheels. Made of 20x20 mm (3/4”x3/4) epoxy powder coated metal tubes. Coupling-hook can be mounted.
Lightweight and simple distribution trolleys that allow easy access to the modules and a good overview of the contents.
The container trolleys provide optimum protection of items during transportation. Fitted with Vario panels that can be removed. Doors open 270o and are fitted with locks and rubber bead for tight close. Bumper guard can be fitted. 2 fixed wheels and 2 swivel wheels with brakes. Made of anodised aluminium. Coupling-hook can be mounted.

With this series of cabinets we emphasize a minimalist and serene design. The design creates a visual calmness in the department, where the days can be quite hectic. This calm appearance contains a highly functional interior with endless possibilities, where you can arrange the cabinets to meet the needs of a specific department. Altogether we are dealing with an intelligent storage system, where everything has its place and is easily accessible. Minimalist. Functional. Intelligent.

Scanmo racks are a flexible racking system designed for both angled and horizontal insertion of supports.
The freestanding frames are made of 30x30 mm (1 ¼”x1 ¼”) metal tubes and powder coated with epoxy.
Telescopic runners are used for heavy items and where 110% extension is needed.
The supports can be adjusted with intervals of 62.5 mm (2½”). Changes and additions to the system are easy to make.
All Scan Modul Systems modules fit into the Scanmo Racks.
Use the upper part of the cabinet for angled inserts – tilt for better view and easy access. Superior overview and organisation!
Supports are designed with a stop-function - in the front and rear.
