Simple, Innovative Delivery Amelogen Plus comes in a unique syringe featuring QuadraSpense and Kleen Sleeve. QuadraSpense makes it possible to express small amounts of material from the syringe. Kleen Sleeve ensures that no black specks from the outer syringe appear in the composite. Plus each Amelogen Plus syringe kit includes a convenient syringe organizer for easy access to every shade. Amelogen Plus is also available in compules for clinicians who prefer delivery through a composite gun. Kleen Sleeve®

Eliminates black specks.

Quadraspense®

Facilitates removal of small amounts of material.

Quad Key

Removes white quad flanges to create an open bore delivery barrel.

Amelogen Plus Shades Intuitive Shade System Amelogen Plus features a simple, intuitive shade system comprised of the 15 shades most commonly used in composite restorations: eight dentin, three enamel, three translucent, and one opaque. This combination makes Amelogen Plus perfect for layering techniques that use one shade or multiple shades. Combining these shades allows dentists to replicate depth of color. Amelogen Plus also closely emulates the fluorescence of the natural tooth.

Bond Etch | Ultra-Etch®

Ultra-Etch is a 35% phosphoric acid solution featuring the optimal viscosity to prevent migration. Its syringe/tip delivery facilitates precise placement and superior control.

Preparation complete. Rubber dam where needed.

Apply Ultra-Etch for 20 seconds to dentin/enamel. Air/water wash with suction for 5 seconds. Blot or blow off surface water. DO NOT DESICCATE.

Bond | PeakTM Universal Bond

For maximum bond strengths, we recommend Peak Universal Bond. With its unique chemistry, and added chlorhexidine, which may ensure long-term bond strengths1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Peak Universal Bond bonds to dentin/ enamel, metal, porcelain, zirconia, and composite.

Apply a puddle coat of Peak® Universal Bond Resin with an Inspiral Brush tip onto surfaces and agitate gently for 10 seconds.

Thin and dry with a focused air stream with 1⁄2 air pressure at 10mm for 10 seconds to remove alcohol carrier. Surface should look glossy but not puddled or milky.

Light cure for 10 seconds with VALO or for 20 seconds if using a standard halogen light.

Restore Restore | Amelogen Plus Amelogen Plus is a Bis-GMA-based composite with a smooth consistency that won’t slump or stick to instruments, which makes it easy to achieve exceptional control and superior results. With the 15 composite shades most commonly used by dentists, color matching is easy. Simply select the dentin and enamel shades that most closely match the adjacent teeth, then use a composite instrument to apply Amelogen Plus in layers, curing after each layer to ensure the final restoration is completely cured. If you prefer a flowable, super-adaptive first layer, PermaFlo® may be substituted for the initial layer.

Finish Polish | Jiffy® Polishing System

For a smooth finish and brilliant polish, Ultradent offers the Jiffy polishing system. The abrasive, impregnated silicon rubber cups, disks, and points are perfect for finishing and polishing composites and creating surface shine with minimal time and effort. Use with light pressure, as heavy pressure can create excessive heat and dull the composite.

Use polishers in sequence: green, yellow, white, blue.

The blue HiShine polishers are impregnated with diamond powder to bring a high luster to composite restorations (optional).

Use the Jiffy brush as the final polish (optional).

Seal | PermaSealTM

PermaSeal penetrates microgaps caused by polymerization shrinkage and/or microcracks from the final polish. It has been proven to reduce microleakage when used as the final seal.1 PermaSeal also coats provisionals for an instant glazed finish. It works best when etch is used for five seconds to clean the surface of the restoration and surrounding enamel.

Etch for 5 seconds, rinse.

Deliver a thin coat of PermaSeal by aggressively rubbing for 5 seconds.

Air thin and cure for 10 seconds.

Finished product.

Single-Shade Restoration Step 1 Choose shade of the overall tooth. Step 2 Deliver etch and bonding agent to fully prepared tooth. Refer to the Bond section. Step 3 Place the first 0.5–1mm layer of composite. Place remaining layers in 2mm increments, replicating the natural anatomy of the surrounding tooth structure. Cure 20 seconds between each layer. Refer to the Restore section.

Dentin Enamel

Multiple-Shade Technique (Ultimate for Anterior Esthetics) This technique is recommended for large restorations and direct veneers to re-create the essence of natural tooth structure. Multiple shades reproduce the depth and vitality of adjacent teeth, and are typically required when placing large Class IV restorations or direct veneers. Place a darker dentin shade first, then cover with a thinner, more translucent enamel layer. An incisal halo may also be necessary.

Step 1 Choose the dentin shade by matching exposed dentin or by matching it to the cervical 1/3 of the tooth. Step 2 Choose the value of the overall tooth (brightness). Step 3 Deliver etch and bonding agent to fully prepared tooth. Refer to the Bond section.

Step 4 Place the first 0.5–1mm layer of dentin composite. Continue building up additional layers in 2mm increments, replicating the natural anatomy of the surrounding dentin. Cure 20 seconds between each layer. Refer to the Restore section.

Step 5 Add characterizations by using an enamel shade and/ or Opaque White. Step 6 Add translucency to the incisal edge or to replicate the natural halo, staining, or mamelons.

Step 7 Place enamel composite layer, buliding up in 1–2mm increments and replicating the natural anatomy of the surrounding enamel. Cure 20 seconds between each layer. Refer to the Restore section. Step 8 Shape, finish, polish, and seal. Refer to the Finish section.
