COMPANY SPORT IS A LIFESTYLE !
1
SOME WORDS ... Mr Didier BESSEYRE, President World (WFCS) and European Federation for Company Sport (EFCS)
“EFCS’ purpose and activities are today clearly related to a need expressed as well by employees and employers. Whether it is for social issues, management, corporate culture, networking, productivity or health, the positive impact of physical activity within the workplace is now recognized. Employees’ well-being and performance: two arguments that resonate with employees and key decision makers. Company sport is much more than sport!”
Mr Thomas BACH, President International Olympic Committee (IOC) “Skills, behaviors and principles applied in the sport area can be adapted to the business and company area. All organizations that contribute to gather companies and sport federations to develop sport and physical activity for all are welcomed.” (Sport & Entreprises Magazine – n°119 - December 2014)
Mr Tibor NAVRACSICS, European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport
“Regular physical activity brings the citizen and the employee better life quality, well-being and health. Sport and companies have close relationships and have to work together. It’s a win-win situation, everyone benefits.” (Sport & Entreprises Magazine - n°120 - April 2015)
Mrs Marianne THYSSEN, European Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs, Skills and Labour Mobility
“I firmly believe in company sport because of its numerous positive assets. However, do not forget the non-active workers! Even though they may be inactive, many of them are convinced that sport practice on the workfloor is beneficial both for workers and employers. Company sport is a win-win situation.” (Vlaamse Bedrijfssport – nr. 4-2011)
H
Ms Laura FRATI GUCCI, President World Association of Woman Entrepreneurs (FCEM)
“ Company sport is growing at European and world level. This development is mainly explained by European and World Federation for Company Sport as they multiply communication, lobby and advisory activities.”
