TBS Group
TBS Group was founded in a research environment in the late 1980s with a high level of specialization in the management of outsourced multivendor integrated Clinical Engineering and ICT services, as well as Telemedicine, e-Health and e-Government systems, solutions and services. In line with integrated technology development (both IT and telematics), the company’s growth was marked by development in Clinical Engineering itself. In fact, Clinical Engineering was no longer merely restricted to safe and efficient management of biomedical equipment, but had expanded to the integrated management of all technologies implemented in social and healthcare facilities and at local bodies. Throughout the world, healthcare costs are the most significant item in public expenditure and tend to grow faster than GDP, especially due to the demographic trends and technological evolution. In this context, the Group’s vision is aimed at designing solutions to contain and re-qualify costs, offering an integrated management of all technologies implemented in social and healthcare facilities as to improve the quality of services and have a positive effect on the health expectations and quality of life of citizens. The Group quickly developed and became international both internally and through acquisitions. TBS Group works primarily coordinating activities carried out by its specific competence centers and setting up technical workshops within social and healthcare facilities, both public and private, in which are permanently present teams of highly specialised biomedical and IT engineers and technicians, who undergo continuous training and are able to guarantee cost optimisation, provide prompt intervention and ensure a strong reduction of equipment downtime. The modular nature and flexibility of the services offered by TBS Group makes it possible to cater for the operating requirements of all clients, both managing activities on a completely outsourced basis, and by offering support and integration of activities through an internal service. The headquarters of the Group are located at AREA Science Park (Trieste, Italy) of which it has been a tenant since 1994.
