Mayors Activity Awards •An exciting awards program which encourages healthy eating and physical activity for youth aged 3 – 16 •This popular activity awards program will keep youth active and eating well all summer. •Youth receive points for each task completed and upon reaching minimum point levels earn bronze, silver or gold medals! •This program will be held from June 5th to August 11th. The program is offered free-ofcharge to all interested youth.

Wednesday Walkers An adult walking group that meets at prescheduled places on our trail system each Wednesday at 10:00 We walk for ½ an hour and then turn around to walk back

Northside Youth Centre •The Northside Youth Centre & Indoor Skateboard Park is a safe, alcohol and drug-free facility for youth of the Fredericton area to participate in positive recreation, and social and learning experiences. • NYC offers DDR games, Wii games, a canteen, in-house skateboard shop, skateboard day camps, youth groups, and many other youthcentred activities. Northside Youth Centre • Skateboards and helmets are available for rental. The Northside Youth Centre will be offering 8 weeks of full day (8am-5pm) skateboard camps. Starting the week of June 26th Our skateboard camps are pre-planned, and we have flexible schedules to customize each day’s activities. Campers spend 8am-1pm daily in the skate park and will have both one on one and group lessons, afternoons are spent doing planned activities such as active games, outside play and weekly outings. *There will be no camps on Canada Day or New Brunswick Day

ScotiaBank South Dirt Jump Bike Skills Park • A specialized cycling facility • Geared to BMX and free-ride cyclists of all ages and abilities • Has; a small pump track • A large pump track • A cross country single track and three indiepndant lines for riders of different skill levels 19
Art on the Go! • New for this year from the “Culture” focus • “Pop up Art” will travel to different parks and events this summer with a program that is designed by a local artist • The Zig Zag playgrounds will be visited once a week per park for an exciting variety of art projects as well
