Leader: Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt His name together. People: I sought the Lord, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears. Leader: This poor man called, and the Lord heard him; He saved him out of all his troubles. People: Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him. Leader: The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles. People: The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. UNION PRAYER OF CONFESSION O Merciful God, You are our refuge and strength. You are present to help us in any trouble, but we have not always believed that. We claim to be Your people, but we have not always trusted You as we ought. Instead, we have allowed anxiety, worry, and fear to control us. We have given ear to our doubts and concerns, and we have failed to listen to You. Forgive our faithless fears and our worldly anxieties. Help us be still and remember that You are God, now and forever.
