Interpretation status: corresponded to the standard linguistic profile of the committee: 22 languages were available except for Estonian and Irish.



Electronic meeting file and web streaming: the Chair announced that, as usual, the meeting file was available electronically via the e-meeting application and that the meeting would be webstreamed.



New Administrator in the ENVI Committee Secretariat: the Chair announced that a new Administrator, Ms. Aliette Carré, has joined the ENVI Committee Secretariat.

Chair's announcements concerning coordinators' recommendations of 22 December 2015 and 13 January 2016 The Chair informed the Committee that the coordinators' recommendations of 22 December 2015 and 13 January 2016 had been circulated electronically. As no objections were raised, they were deemed approved (see Annexes II and III).

After a lengthy discussion coordinators considered that they needed more time to examine in depth the proposal of division of competence and decided to continue the discussion at their next meeting.

Appointment of EP representatives in EMA Management Board

Decision taken:

Coordinators decided to renew the mandate of Prof Lemmer for the next term of 3 years, and launch a procedure for appointing a replacement for prof. Nisticó.

Political groups were invited to send proposals for candidates to the secretariat by Wednesday, 27 January at 12 noon. An extraordinary coordinators meeting might be organised during the February part-session to decide on the next steps.

We will discuss and decide on the matter in our meeting of 21 January. 2.2 Follow-up to Court judgment on Endocrine Disruptors Following ENVI coordinators' request at last meeting, President Schulz has written to President Juncker on the matter.
